After school, I was walking with Andi and Buffy to the library. And had to turn in her book before she got fined for it. We walked in and Cyrus was by the printer with Walker right at his side. When he saw us walk in, Cyrus smiled widely and Walker plastered a fake smile and dropped it once he saw me. Buffy and Andi ran over and I kept my distance by the graphic novel shelves. I overheard Buffy say, "Hey guys!" very happily.

Cyrus greeted them back and Andi asked Cyrus if he wanted to go over to The Spoon after practice.

"Oh, I was going to go over to Walker's house and do homework."

I looked over and Buffy's face was scrunched in anger. Andi smiled and said, "Oh, okay. Well, we'll see you later then."

The girls walked over to the book return and I joined them. When I glanced back over at Cyrus and Walker, they had completely forgotten the previous conversation and were now engaged in one of their own. Cyrus was speaking while Walker was smiling at him, laughing. I felt pretty bad for Andi and Buffy. Cyrus never turned down baby taters, and now that he had a boyfriend, he had completely moved on from the Good Hair Crew.

"I can't believe he turned us down," Buffy was saying.

Andi was trying to calm Buffy down whilst talking to the librarian. "It's fine, he just wanted to hang out with Walker."

"But he loved baby taters. He never turns them down! I think Walker's manipulating him." Buffy started glaring over in Walker's direction.

I glanced at the clock. "I should get going to practice."

I started to walk out the door, but Andi called me back over. "We'll see you at The Spoon, right?"

"What?" I asked, walking back over.

Buffy said, "Well, Cyrus isn't hanging out with us anymore."

They were right. Cyrus was constantly ditching them for Walker. I started seeing them with Cyrus less and less. And whenever they were together, Walker was always there, too, and Buffy and Andi looked like awkward third wheels. I started to feel really bad for them. I guess I kind of owed them. Were all in the same boat, Cyrus had left us just in different ways. For Buffy, it was her best friend. For me, it was seeing my crush with another guy. For Andi, it was another person in her life who just disappeared from her.

"Um, yeah, sure," I answered, trying to sound as cool as possible.

I started to get more excited. I was going to be a part of the Good Hair Crew. Although, it had kind of fallen apart. Cyrus really held them together and kept the name alive. What was the point of even having the Good Hair Crew without Cyrus? I guess I'd just have to fill in for him. Andi and Buffy were clearly broken. I just had to pick up the pieces.

Walker was there the entire practice. He kept on distracting Cyrus by wrapping his arms around him and kissing his cheeks. I was looking forward to leaving and getting away from all of the PDA. I heard Cyrus calling my name as I left, but I ignored him and went to see the girls. I walked in as they were just arriving and we sat at the bar. People kept waving and saying hi to me, but I tried my best to be Cyrus and ignored them. When the waiter brought over our food, I stuck a green straw in my chocolate milkshake and and started eating the baby taters, which is what Cyrus always did.

Andi kept ranting to Buffy about whatever it was that was going on in her family life, and Buffy listened and gave her advice. I realized what it actually felt like to be Cyrus.

To be ignored.

No wonder he was always around Walker. Walker admired him and made him feel like he was worth something. He always listened to what Cyrus had to say and showed him affection, something no one else gave him. His parents are all caught up in their patients and fighting with each other, and they only every stress him out. Andi's all caught up in whatever is going on in her life, and Buffy's just caught up in whoever she's talking to. And I only ever think about myself.

I looked over at Andi, who was smiling. It was the first time I saw her smile, a genuine smile in a while. I decided that I didn't want to tell the, what I thought about Cyrus. It'd make them upset to know that they caused him pain.

Andi snapped me out of my thoughts when she exclaimed, "Oh! I forgot to tell you guys: Bex and I are going to throw another house party on Friday night. You down?"

Buffy looked at me and shrugged. "Yeah, sure."

That sounded like a good way to set my mind off of Cyrus and Walker.

"Is Walker gonna be there?" I asked.

Andi shrugged. "It's invite only. And he's not invited."

I smiled at her. "Well then I'll be there."
