Buffy took a sip from her drink while I played with my hands. "So, Walker and Cyrus broke up," I said.

She choked, bringing her hand up to her throat and her eyes bugging out. She cleared her throat and said, "You guys can date now!"

I shrugged and look back down at my intertwined hands. "Dude, what are you waiting for?" She asked.

I looked back up at her and shrugged once again. She rolled her eyes and said, "You can ask him out now!"

I sunk into my sweatshirt. "What if he doesn't like me anymore?"

She grabbed my hands, which were running around each other. She looked into my eyes, her eyes pulling myself out of my sweatshirt. "He does. Trust me."

I actually almost threw up. I was even more nervous than the first time I went to ask him out. I didn't even want to do it anymore, but at the same time, this is all that I wanted. I didn't want to make him too intimidated and just straight up ask him out, I just wanted to like ease into it.

I saw him at his locker, by himself, and grazed over. "Hey, Cy-guy!" I called as I went.

He turned to me and smiled, waving goofily. "So, what're you up to Saturday?" I asked.

He thought for a second. "Nothing, I think. Why?"

Oh, deep breaths. "I didn't know if you wanted to come over to watch a movie. You know, just you and I." Did that make it sound like a date? Oh, I hope so.

His eyes opened wide and he stepped back. "Like, as a date?"

Play it cool. I shrugged and said, "If you're alright with that."

I could feel his entire body just explode in happiness. "I'd love to!" He exclaimed.

I felt my own heart leap with happiness, knowing that he was actually down for it. "Well, come over at around 2."

He nodded frantically with a huge grin still glued on his face and I casually walked away. Yet, inside, I was freaking out. Buffy was right, he did totally still like me. And we were going on a date.
