Azealia Raven waltzed through the dungeons casually, praying no one would stop her. The skirts of her gown brushed the dirty floors as she swept her way towards the furthermost cell. There were magic-dampening runes etched everywhere and they were taking no precautions with the dangerous prisoners they held. She had been given free rein of the castle. The first time she'd come down here she remembered the hope swelling in her chest that she'd be able to see her friends again. But they were nowhere to be seen and she could only hope that they were being kept from her and hadn't been killed yet. As she reached the cells holding the more dangerous prisoners she steadied herself before coming into view of the person she'd been the most apprehensive to speak to.

The young woman with long, dark hair matted with blood, and ruby-stained lips grinned at her. "Well, well, well. I never thought I'd see you again. I'm surprised you're still alive. Sorry for that time that I killed you and your parents, by the way." she cackled.

"I'm sure that's a sincere apology." she rolled her eyes in reply. "But I'm not here to goad. I like to leave that to my dear sister."

"What are you here for then, a leisurely visit? Did you miss me?" she grinned.

"I'm here to make you an offer. All you've wanted to do is discover your limits and keep pushing and learning, right? But the people who brought you here don't want that, do they? They want to cage you and use you to their advantage. They threw you in here and took your magic from you. That's not the sort of thing you'd like to be caught up in, is it? Am I right in guessing that you'd like to be let free? Because if you join me that's what I'm offering you. Your freedom to do what you please."

"Now why would you want to help me? What's the catch?" the woman cocked her head.

"The only conditions I have is that you help me with what I need you to do here, and then you leave and don't come back. I don't care what you do after that. Do we have a deal?" Azealia held out her hand through the bars and the woman rose to her feet to shake it.

"What do you need me to do, little one?"

Aria Shade cupped the mug of warm coffee in her ice-cold hands. China and Ophelia had gotten her new clothes and sat her down to wait in China's personal chambers until the global link message had been sent out. She felt empty. No more anger. No more fear. Just hopeless. How did they even stand a chance against one of the three deities? They'd barely held out against a few of the Faceless Ones and they were only the descendants of the least powerful of the three founders. Where was Ellion now? Was he even alive? Perhaps it would be better if he wasn't considering how terrible what to come was bound to be.
