Gee, the very strange boy from yesterday, I saw him again today at school! It was during lunch break, he saw me eating by myself (none of my friends have their lunch break at the same time as I do) so he came over and sat with me.

"Hello," he said to get my attention. It worked, and I looked up from the turkey sandwich in my hands. "Hello," I greeted back.

"Why are you all alone?" He asked.

"None of my friends have this lunch."

He nodded and I went back to eating my sandwich. I noticed he didn't have anything to eat, and was about to offer him a bite of my sandwich when he said, "Y'know, I don't think your "friends" are really all that friendly." This confused me. We joke, we laugh, we talk, what's not friendly about them? I asked this and Gee responded with a shrug of his shoulders, "It just seems like they're not laughing with you. Not to mention they tend to throw punches."

I looked up at Gee, confused. How are they not laughing with me? What other way is there to laugh? And what does "Throw punches" mean? I've never been punched before. Punches are violent, nothing my friends do is violent. Violent is bad, violent is wrong. Nothing here is bad or wrong.

When Gee did nothing to further explain what he meant, the edges of my lip curved into a smile and I said somewhat quietly, "You're a funny boy." Now it was his turn to look at me strangely. "What's so funny about me?" He asked.

"You're not like everyone else."

"Neither are you."

This had me taken aback. Of course I'm like everyone else! What other way is there to be? After a bit of silence I asked politely, "Do you want some of my sandwich?" "No thanks," Gee shrugged. I glanced at him before taking another bite.

"You are a funny boy."
