I told Momma that Gee and I were dating.  She said she was happy for us.

But then she sat me down.

"I want you to know, Frank, I'm happy with whoever you decide to be.  You are not a bad person, you are not wrong. There are many things in this world that could be wrong, but this is not it. We decide not to be those things because we know they are wrong. You are good, Frank, always remember that. I love you because you are good."

I almost cried, but then realized that was illogical because I wasn't sad. I smiled at Momma and we hugged. Then I went upstairs and did my homework, but I found it difficult. My mind kept racing back to Gee.
