Tears welled up in my eyes.  Why did he punch me?  What did I do?  Why are they being so mean?

"Oh look, now the baby's gonna cry.  Pathetic little bitch.  That's it, go home crying to your mommy, Shortie."

I turned around and ran away, trying not to cry, but it was difficult. I ran into the bathroom, but there was someone else in there too.

"Oh, hey Fra- Frankie? What's wrong?" Gee asked when he saw me.

"H-h-he p-punched me..." I sobbed pointing to the throbbing part of my face where I had been hit.

Gee ran over to me and hugged me.  "Oh, Frankie, I'm so sorry."

"W-why did he do that?"  I asked through my tears.

"Because he's a bully. But it doesn't matter. You're amazing, Frankie. Don't forget that."

"What's a bully?" I asked.

"Someone who's mean to you on purpose."

I nodded and we continued hugging, but I didn't feel better. Pete knows that violence is wrong. There is nothing wrong here. Why did he do that? Things are supposed to be perfect, why are they not?!
