Allagash, Maine -5:58 PM-
Although she would not like to admit it, Val was never a party person.
She was seated in the sand, cold air whipping at her hair. The golden, orange flame dancing in front of her as it warmed her from the crisp sunset. Her 'friends' were out at the edge of the water, dancing to music blaring from one of their cars, jumping about with some beer bottles in hand, having fun. Without her.
She didn't mind it. In fact, she was relieved to know that they forgot about her the moment the music turned on. Raileigh was the one who dragged her here. It was her birthday and Val felt she needed to go for her. To be a good friend.
That's what good friends do, right?
Unknown Location : Sector 12 : Maine [00:32 hours]
Giant shadows of trees began to move. Black and purple figures scattering the forest. While their steps were heavy, they were as silent as the wind. The largest figure was at the front, guiding the group of giants through the thick brush. The night was quiet and black, but the moon and stars were barely able to highlight the dark metal of the trudging figures. They slowly went, cautiously.
The body of shadows came to a ridge. It loomed over a beach with quiet wave. But then they spotted their target. East, down the beach, was a giant, grey, alien ship. Unidentifiable frame's encircled the ship, five we're counted. One of the bodies was seen pushing a load of cargo onto the ship. Although the cargo was unknown, the body of shadows were given orders to seize it.
"Secure the cargo by any means necessary." The largest figure ordered with a stern and emotionless voice.
He stood up from his crouch in the brush. Treading to the edge, the rest of group mobilized towards the ship. When he reached the edge, without even thinking, he let himself drop.
He landed with a heavy thud, the ground shook, and sand flew into the air. The frames around the ship suddenly turned to face the noise, surprise keen on their face plates. They spot the large figure, but then more started to drop from the ridge above the beach.
"Cons!" One of the frames yelled. He was one of the larger ones, wide and a dull green.
The Decepticons began their assault. A battle was waged. Many took cover behind scattered boulders on the beach or the ship. Beams of red and blue were shot from the Decepticons and the Autobots. The large figure, the farthest from battle, started to shift from its bipedal form. Panels of metal and limbs started to twist and turn. A noise of churning metal was heard. It changed from a human-like form to a spiked alien tank, a menacing, large cannon mounted on the top of it. The cannon started to flush a bright purple at the end of barrel and buzzed lowly; the tank rolled forward and kicked sand into the air.
CHOOM. CHOOM. Two purple lasers were fired from the tank's cannon. One shot nearly hit a white and black figure but they dodged it. The other one hit a large, red, bulky frame just below the hip. He let out a deep cry clutching where they were hit. Blue liquid started to ooze out from the new gash.
"I'm leakin' here!" He took cover behind the landing gear of the ship, trying to escape the incoming fire.
"It's Shockwave," A cyan blue and red mech spoke, looking out at the purple that was approaching them, "Arcee! Aid Ironhide back into the ship." He yelled to one of his comrades behind a rock.
A blue and pink, small femme paused and nodded. The thin guns at the ends of her arms shifted into servos. Arcee raced to where Ironhide was and helped him back into the ship.
The cyan and red mech continued ordering his allies to hold their defense. The enemy needed to be closer in order for their plan to work.
Shockwave transformed back to his bipedal form. He was now standing in the fight, still firing lasers from his cannon. A smaller black and white Autobot, the one he nearly caught in his fire, started dashing towards him. He aimed a black and blue pistol at Shockwave as he ran. Shockwave caught on and raised his cannon, ready to fire. The fool, he'll run straight into Shockwave's bullet.
