Carry on...
•••••The shadow stood at the top of the staircase, watching as the new family moved their belongings through the door.
"Not another bunch of idiots I have to scare out" the ghostly figure mumbled to himself before making his way back to his usual spot.
He laid his transparent body onto the neatly made bed. He couldn't hold back the big sigh that escaped his lips.
The door swung open and the ghost sat up slightly watching as the boy carried two big boxes into the room and placed them on top of the ghost.
"Hey! Watch where you're putting that!" He yelled as he jumps up from the bed, the boxes not moving an inch.
The boy rips off the tape on the first box and opened it up. The ghost couldn't help but peer in to see.
Oh my god he's so boring!
The boy pulls out a photograph and stares at it for a while.
"What?" The ghost asks curiously before climbing over the bed and peeking over the boys shoulder at the picture."Damn, are these your friends? They all look like models in comparison to you" the ghost laughs, looking at the photo of the five boys in the frame.
The boy shivers suddenly causing the frame to slip from his grip, hitting the floor. The glass shattered into a million pieces and the wooden frame snapped in two."Shit!" The boy says quickly bending over to pick the picture out of the broken mess.
He looks at it one more time before sighing and placing it on the bedside table. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to do that" the ghost quickly apologises as he watches the boy leave the room once more.
The ghost looks down at his hands and watches as they shift from transparent to solid. He reaches down and scooped up the shards of glass and wood before carrying them over to the small trash can in the corner of the room. Usually he wouldn't do this but technically he had made the mess.
Blood starts to bead on the surface of his skin before disappearing with a blink of an eye. Perks of already being dead.
Quickly he returns back to his transparent form before the boy could return. Just because I was nice doesn't mean this guy can stay, I'll scare him away soon enough he thinks to himself as he walks over to the boxes on the bed.
"He doesn't even have anything fun in here" he mumbles as he rummaged through the box. "I thought he would be at least a little kinky" he says biting his lip slightly.
The boy walks through the door carrying a dust pan and brush.
He walked around the bed and stared down at where the glass had been before. "What the heck?" He mumbles causing a small smirk to appear on the ghosts face. He had to admit, this new guy was cute. Fluffy brown hair, soft looking skin, small and petite build. Yup he was was a looker for sure. The boy stood up straight quickly looking around to see if anyone else was in the room. He walked over to the closet and threw the doors open looking for any sign of an intruder. The ghost couldn't help but watch the frightened and confused looking boy.
His laugh sent chills throughout the room causing the brunette to shiver once more. "This is going to be so damn easy" the ghost mumbled before moving closer and slamming the closet doors shut.
•••••
Renjun jumped back quickly as the doors slammed shut. The bang echoing throughout the room. Then it was silent. The only sound that could be heard was Renjun's heavy breathing as he stared at the closet."Renjun, are you okay Hun?!" His mother yelled from downstairs.
The brunette nods, more to himself since his mother couldn't see him."Yeah, I'm fine!" He replied, trying calm himself down a little.
"Okay, we're getting food soon, make sure to finish unpacking and then come down!" She calls back.
Renjun turns and finishes unboxing his things. He places things on shelves and hung clothes up in the closet. He was still slightly on edge, every few minutes he would look over his shoulder every time he felt a drop in temperature.
Quickly, he made his way downstairs, wanting to get away from that room for a while. "We're having Pizza" his mother says as she spots her son in the doorway. He simply nods as he sits at the kitchen table.
"Mum?" He says, breaking the silence. His mother looks up from where she was organising the kitchen drawer.
"Did the family that lived here before us seem...weird to you?" He asked causing his mother to give him a confused look."No, I mean they were pretty eager to sell the house, but other than that they seemed like nice people. Why do you ask?" She says before going back to what she was doing.
"No reason, just curious" he looks over his shoulder at the staircase, only to see a shadow sweep across the upstairs corridor. Renjun takes a deep breath before turning back around and focusing on his mother talking about how much she loved this new house. Renjun on the other hand couldn't seem to agree with her.
•••••
This was going to be so damn easy. The boy already has suspicions of a ghost. The shadowy figure smiles delightfully. He knew from first glance that this guy was easily frightened. He makes his way down the corridor and back into the room he spends most of his time in. He had decided that if he was going to scare this guy away, he should at least get to know him better. Right?
He opens a drawer and peers inside. A smirk instantly forming on his face. He changed from his transparent form to his solid and pulled out a pair of white boxers. "So innocent" he says biting his lip slightly. He drops them back into the drawer before moving over to the shelf.
Pictures of him and the boys family littered the shelf. The ghost couldn't help but smile, a genuine smile. It was nice that this boy loved his family. "Love them with all your heart, you never know when that can get taken away from you" he mumbles looking at a photo of the boy with his parents.
Not wanting to get all emotional, he notices a book placed on the desk by the window. Slowly, he makes his way over, flipping to the very first page. Inside the cover was a scrawl of neat handwriting that read property of Huang Renjun.
"So his name is Renjun" he tilts his head a little as he closed the book. "Weird. His name sounds Chinese yet he speaks in Korean?"
The ghost didn't think on it too much, he never seemed to understand modern day teenagers anyway. The last family that lived here had a thirteen year old daughter that seemed to have a whole other language for texting.
He moves back over to the bed, laying down on the neatly made sheets, getting comfortable. He stayed like this for an hour or so. Only when he heard the boy, Renjun, making his way upstairs did he quickly turn back to his transparent state.
The boy walked into the room closing the door behind him. The ghost watched as Renjun picked out a tshirt and pyjama pants from one of the drawers.
He smirked "damn are you really gonna strip for me, we've only just met" the ghost says sitting up excitedly as he watched the boy pull his sweater over his head.
He swallows slightly. The boy was toned. That was unexpected, he had such a small and fragile frame. "Do I really want to scare you away? Or should I let you stay so I get to watch you undress for me?" The ghost gets up and moves closer.
He reaches out his see-through hand and touches the boys toned stomach. The boy shivers and quickly pulls the tshirt over his head.
It's not that he was a pervert, he just didn't get much human interaction these days.
Once Renjun was finished getting changed he climbed into the large bed, pulling the covers over his body to shield him from the cold.
"Hey! Have you totally dismissed the whole ghost theory? You don't seem scared anymore" the shadowy figure says as he moves closer to the bed.
"Don't worry, I'll be back later" he says finally with a wink before sinking back into the darkness of the room.
