So on the bus as I write this (though it's published later), and I see possibly the cutest thing ever.
I keep my earbuds in, so I can't hear what's going on, but I'm still nosy so I just watch everyone in front of me.
Basically this little girl (maybe like 5 years old) started crying for some reason or another, and this older boy (probably closer to 10) moved up a couple seats to be in the seat across the aisle from her and cheered her up. He had some toy or something, and he's still sitting there talking with her.
THIS MAKES MY HEART ABSOLUTELY MELT. Y'ALL DO NOT EVEN UNDERSTAND. I live for this stuff.
I don't even think he's her older brother or anything. The fact that he moved up and made her stop crying is actually the best.
Every time I think kids are the worst (which fluctuates often), something like that happens and I am Proud Mother #1 for kids that aren't even mine. Gosh I love kids. M'kay.

**UPDATE: one week later and he was sitting next to her on the bus and it's Valentine's day and it was cute.
