Happy International Women's Day to all of you! Some of the most enpowered ladies I know I met through here so I hope you had a great day so far!
If you want to know about a couple of very empowered women, I suggest you look up Selina Leem and Kathy Jetnil-Kijner. They are both Marshallese women that are fighting daily for recognition for their country. I had the pleasure of meeting both of them. I actually spent a week with Selina at a science summer camp, and she is so down to earth and fun. Kathy is a poet and her work is so straightforward and moving. I highly recommend looking up either (or both) of them. If not only to learn a little about the Marshall Islands.
