Weird how when we were little we could just be like "Let's play pretend!" andd everyone knew what you meant. Like yeah, you'd go thru and name off who you were and stuff, but it was such an ambiguous thing.
It's weird how as kids we were drawn to compromise bc if you think about it, playing "pretend" is a compromise for all types of kids. You could run around all you wanted, depending on who or what you decided to be, you could be a prince or princess, you could model after a parent, you could say random crazy things bc who the heck cares, you're in character!
It's strange to think about. At least, it is for me. That was legit my favorite game to play. (Still is.....) M'kay.
