Only Forever-Stony Stark

Chapter 7

A/N:Just popping in again yes I realized that the first part of the chapter is already in another one.Consider this like a filler chapter I guess...XX :)

~~~~Six Years Ago~~~~

It was now eight months since Tony had found out that he was pregnant, and things were going well. Though the brunette was more than ready to get this over with,Pepper knew that it had been a rough few months for him. Being that this was his first child, to say that he was nervous was an understatement he was terrified. He had no idea how to take care of a baby, he was thankful though that Pepper was helping a lot during his pregnancy. Even though Pepper told him a million times that he should be taking care of himself, he never listened. He was currently in his lab, as always, when the door opened it was Pepper. 

She stormed over to him angrily "Tony what are you doing down here?Bruce is upstairs waiting for you"the mechanic simply ignored her going over to his computer and typing something.Pepper went over to him taking the keyboard away from him, he glanced up at her and glared "Go upstairs and let Bruce check you, we need to make sure the baby is fine"she demanded just as he was about to reply he felt a sharp pain in his stomach. He winced in pain making Pepper worried, she set the keyboard down putting an arm around his neck. 

"Tony are you ok?"she shook his head when he suddenly felt water dripping down his pants. "Get Bruce, I think my water just broke"she nodded her head running upstairs and brining Bruce down to the lab.He was by the mechanic side in a second placing his hand on his back "Have you had any contractions yet?"Tony nodded his head getting yet another contraction as he cursed all the swear words in the book.They both helped him up and out to Bruce car, when they finally arrived at the Shield hospital they quickly took him a room and got him ready. Fury had to be informed of the situation so he was in the waiting room with Pepper. 

Five hours later of agony and pain she was finally brought to the world, Bruce walked out to the waiting room to inform Pepper, Rhodey and Fury. Pepper quickly got up from her seat walking over to Bruce "What happened, how is he?"Bruce sighed pushing his glasses up "It was a beautiful little girl, the nurses are checking her now"Pepper smiled hugging Rhodey in excitement that she was finally an aunt. They both pulled away Rhodey turning to look at Bruce "And how's Tony?", "He's ok he's currently sleeping it was a tough labor for him.He'll be fine just with lots of rest"Pepper asked him if she could see him, Bruce agreed and lead her to his room.He was asleep but she didn't care she just simply sat down on the chair next to the bed and waited.

Two more hours had passed Tony finally awaken his mind kinda fuzzy but workable. "Tony"he heard a feminine voice call to him.As his mind cleared he finally registered the voice and turned towards it. "Hey Pepper,"Tony said giving a weak smile. "Tony do you feel okay I could call the nurse" she said motioning to the call button but Tony stopped her "No I'm fine just fuzzy"Tony said raising his hand passing it through his hair when a pain shot through his abdomen.Reality struck him harder than the hulk.

Tony just had a baby, an actual living, breathing, pooping being.Panic went through the mechanic's face and system "Pepper where is-", "She's fine Tony"Pepper said with a calming smile "She?"he stuttered thinking of the precious miracle that he and Steve had created, he would have given anything to have shared this with him but he couldn't. Pepper nodded her head "Yeah it was a beautiful little girl. The nurse have have her,I will go call her"she said getting up and leaving the room.The brunette sat in the room in silence, a million thoughts went through his mind.How would I feed it?How will I take care of it?Will I break it?Tony just realized he was calling the baby it all this time. 

How can he be a father if he can't even refer to the baby as anything other than an it.The mechanic's thoughts were broken by the nurse bringing in a little bundle wrapped in a cream blanket. "She has been eager to meet you,"the nurse said, settling the baby in his arms. He looked down to see a little face looking up at him.It was like a puzzle piece fitting in place. Everything just felt right.Tony held the bundle close as a smile spread across his face. He couldn't help but notice that she had Steve's bright blue eyes but she had Tony's nose, he felt in love with her the instant that he held her.And he couldn't hide the happiness from his face "I'm a father"he muttered under his breath "Baby, I'm a father to a baby not an it a baby, a beautiful baby girl"the brunette touched her face and she made little sounds "I promise to protect you, always"

*Aurora-Three Weeks Old*

It was the middle of the night, Tony was laying in his bed trying to get some goodnight rest. Or so he thought, suddenly he heard the baby cry through the baby monitor. So well for getting some sleep he thought to himself "Master Stark it seems like the baby is crying"Tony huffed in annoyance getting up from his bed and walked into her nurses room. He turned on the light and went over to her crib reaching down to pick her up and immediately she stopped crying. "That's it?You just wanted me to hold you"he said yawning, for the day before he had stayed up all night in his lab working on some new gadgets. 

Pepper constantly reminding him that he should be resting but he was so stubborn that he didn't listen. He cuddle her close to him humming softly rocking her back and forth, for the past three weeks he was having a hard time coming up with a perfect name for her until now "Your name is going to be Aurora Maria Stark.Aurora because it fits you and Maria because that's your grandmother's name"he sighed rubbing her little cheek as she made soft little noises. "I wish you could've met her. You would've loved her". He finished smiling down at her as he continue to rock back and forth on the rocking chair, he never noticed Pepper leaning against the door frame. She smiled, quietly walking over to them kneeling down in front of them. Without knowing it Tony was really nailing this parenting stuff.
