Chapter 18

That same night while Steve and Sharon were fast asleep Aurora got off the couch grabbing the suitcase she hid. She took one last glance at a picture of the super soldier then walking to the front door,Ari struggled to unlock it but she finally got it, closing the door behind her, dragging her suitcase.She walked for what seemed hours to her arriving to a nearby park she put her case on the bench sitting next to it looking around the park wondering how she was going to get home.Morning came around and Steve was the first one to have woken up, he went downstairs to check up on Aurora but saw the couch empty 

"Ari?"he whispered not wanting to wake Sharon up.He looked everywhere and she was nowhere to be found not even her Iron Man action figure.The super soldier took his phone out calling the brunette, after the third ring he answered "Tony?Please tell me you have Aurora", "No, why?What happened Steve?"the mechanic's voice suddenly sounding shaky.Steve sighed explaining to him how he couldn't find her anywhere in the house, tears started streaming down Tony's cheek hanging up not letting him finish getting into his car and driving to Brooklyn.Meanwhile Aurora woke up on the bench as she rubbed her eyes, she took a look at her surroundings realizing that she was at the same park she found last night. 

She knew that she had to keep going if she wanted to make it home, she got off the bench taking her suitcase and began walking again.Aurora took a long look at her surroundings suddenly feeling lost, she had changed her mind and wanted to go back to Steve's house but she didn't know how to get there.She felt scared as tears began streaming down her cheeks mumbling for her daddy or anyone she knew, people only stared down at her and kept walking no one stopping to help her. Ari continued walking coming up to an alley, she turned the corner sitting down near a trash can pulling her legs towards her chest and hiding her face in her knees.While all of that was going on Tony had finally made it to Steve's house 

"Happy stay in the car"the brunette ordered as he stepped out, Happy didn't listen he got out of the car as well following him up to the front door.Tony knocked on the door angrily several times when Sharon then opened the door displeased by the way they were knocking "Where's my daughter?", "How am I supposed to know?She ran away didn't Steve tell you?"the super soldier came to the door before Sharon could say anymore.He let them both come in walking to the living room to have a little more privacy.Sharon didn't care she accompanied them situating herself on the couch listening closely 

"Where is she Steve?"he questioned him trying his best to hold back his tears, all he wanted was to have his little peanut back, he didn't want anything bad to happen to her.He would never forgive himself if it did "I don't know.This morning was when I realize she wasn't here I looked around the neighborhood asked around but nobody has seen her"the brunette glanced down at the ground thinking the worst, he suddenly looked up at the super soldier with anger in his eyes a single tear streaming down his face "If something happens to her I swear to god Steve...", "If you ask me I think it's better this way.

I don't have to put up with that brat anymore"Sharon interrupted him getting up from the couch and up to the super soldier. Tony quickly charged at her but was stop by Happy and Steve before he could even lay a single hand on her "When I find my daughter I'm taking her with me.Far away from you and your bitchy as wife","Tony calm down"Happy put his hand on his shoulder as if trying to comfort him pulling his back towards him.Steve only rolled his eyes "I have custody of her", "GIVE ME A FUCKIN BREAK DO YOU REALLY THINK THE JUDGE WILL LET YOU HAVE HER WHEN YOU FUCKIN LOST HER"Sharon watched in dismay 

"Hey Tony calm down try taking deep breathes"Happy instructed asking the super soldier for a glass of water.Steve ran to the kitchen grabbing some water and bring it back quickly to them.Amillion things must be going through his head thinking the worst.He knew how much he loved and protected Aurora now she was lost, it was all Steve's fault "I'm sorry,I promise you that we will find her whatever it takes but we will find her"the super soldier reassured him,Tony now much more calmer nodded his head hugging him tightly breaking down in tears.Happy, Steve and Tony had all spread out to find Aurora but after hours of looking around they couldn't find her and the brunette was beginning to lose hope.
