Today is Father's Day and even though you couldn't spend it with your father, you were hanging out at the Sanders place since you were neighbors. Being neighbors with the Sanders brought your relationship with them closer. You met Thomas by introducing and he then introduced the other personalities.
You thought they were all fun but your favorite and crush was Patton. Thomas knew this because you were the only one who's ever had a deep conversation with him. It made you smile thinking of Patton and his "dad" ways. Thomas would tease you so much.
You decided today you would go over to their place and tease Patton. It was Father's Day after all. You went over next door before knocking. Patton answered but behind him seemed rather empty.
"Hey Daddio. I decided to come over and hang. Can I come in?" You asked. He blushed.
"S-Sure." He said as you went in. You noticed it was rather quiet.
"It's rather empty. Couldn't handle Dad day?" You teased. He sighed.
"They all just left once I said it's Father's Day." He muttered.
"Oh I'm sorry. I don't think they meant it like that." You said before grabbing his hand. "Let's go watch some movies and hang. That'll make you feel better Daddio."
You didn't know that Patton really wanted you to call him by his first name. You really hadn't in a while. It made him think that you only see him as a father figure rather than someone more intimate. He couldn't believe he was thinking those things but he really liked you. He liked your smile, your laugh, the way your nose scrunches up, and even when you trip over your own feet. He loves you but you were being oblivious. Sure it's Father's Day but really?
You guys sat down on the couch and you grabbed one of his favorite movies. He turned to you because normally he lets you pick.
"It's Dad Day, your choice." You said as he rolled his eyes. "Rolling eyes?"
"Y/n why do you insist on calling me dad?" He asked as you froze. Why did you insist on calling him dad?
"It's fun. You always ask Thomas to and he doesn't so I thought I would. Why?" You asked skeptically.
"I just haven't heard my name in a while." He said.
"Okay Pa-Datton." You said as his eyes widened.
"Did you just-"
"Use a Dad pun? Yep." You said as you sat back down. "P-Patton?"
His eyes were darker than usual and quite hooded expression. He was smiling softly before tackling you to the couch.
"I'm so proud of you!" He exclaimed.
"Thanks Dad..." you trailed off. Once the movie began, you didn't see Patton pouting beside you. So he decided to wrap his arm around you. You let him do that because you leaned into him. He was quite warm and soft.
You didn't realize you fell asleep when you saw Thomas looking down at you. You looked around and Patton wasn't anywhere. You noticed a pillow and blanket were on you.
"Thomas where's Patton?" You asked as Thomas cocked his head to the side.
"He went upstairs. He said he had to do some thinking." Thomas said. "First room on the right."
"Thank you." You said as you got up slowly and stretched. You made your way to the stairs and walked up. The rooms were laid out nicely and you went to the room on the right. Patton's room was a pale blue room with white carpet. Patton was sitting there looking at a picture frame. It had you and all the Sanders.
"Datton?" You said as he didn't respond. "Patton?"
"What is it Y/n?" He said as you were taken by his abruptness. He seemed guarded and not happy.
"I was making sure you were okay." You said as he crossed his arms and pouted.
"Well I'm not." He said as you went to sit beside him. "What do you think of me?"
"You're funny, smart, kind, loyal, takes the role of a dad well, and very punny." You said as Patton rolled his eyes. "What?"
"Do you think of me anything else?" He asked as you shook your head no.
"Why are you asking me-"
"Because I like you okay! I want to take you on a date but you think of me as a dad." He exclaimed.
"Patton, I like you too. I just tease you as a dad." He looked at your eyes. "Look I've liked you for as long as I met you. Once Thomas introduced you, I fell hard."
"Seriously?" He said as you saw slight hope in his eyes.
"Every word." You said as a pair of warm lips kissed you softly. His hands ran through your hair and you wrapped your arms around his neck. He slowly laid you down and pinned you to the bed.
"I guess you're the mom now?" He said as you blushed. "What mommie? Scared?"
"Well Daddio, you would be too." You said as he kissed you again and then got off you. He held out his hand which you took. He spun you in his arms and guided you out. "Where are we going?"
"A night on the town. Just the two of us." He said as you smiled.
"Happy Father's Day." You said as he kissed your cheek.
"Thanks luckily I got my wish today." He said as you smiled and walked with him out the door for a fun night.
