Thomas~ Music To My Ears

A/n: This soulmate au is based on how the world seems to go by in a normal way like the same mechanics and but when a soulmate meets one another, a love song begins to play and everything just seems to slow down. (Sounds confusing but I promise to make sense in the story!)

You were walking to the cafe. It was any other normal day where you ordered f/d and took your book and drink to the park to sit down. Then hours would go by and you'd return to your empty home where only your Dalmatian Allie would sit. A biker would drive by and say hello, a runner would run past you, and the dog walker would let you pet his Golden Retriever. This was a routine day like everyday.

You've been alone most of your life. Your grandmother took care of you then left her dog behind. After your grandmother passed, you just felt the world was just spinning by. Though you have this chip in your ear that played either pop or sad music. It seemed to mock you and you tried to get it removed but the doctor said you would loose memory. You decided that you would just keep it in and bare the bad noises. You wished it would just quit playing music.

You entered the cafe and saw your favorite barista Kim. She waved at you and nodded as she began your regular order. You sighed and paid for your drink. As you grabbed it, you ducked out of the way of some teen listening to music. Oh how it must be nice to listen to music freely. You rolled your eyes and walked out of the way before making your way to the park and your favorite tree.

You sat down and opened your f/b up. You flipped to page 245 which was a dashing protagonist meets the girl and kisses her before twirling and dancing. You smiled softly as you drank before a large figure ran into you and made you fall back. You looked up and the music seemed to crackle out as silence filled your ears. You looked up and a brown eyes brown hair guy had you pinned to the ground.

"I'm so sorry." He said before getting up and you sat up not noticing that your drink had spilled all over your top. "And I got your shirt dirty."

"D-Don't worry about it." A soft tune plays in your ears.

I met you in the dark
You lit me up
You made me feel as though
I was enough

"Um I'm Thomas Sanders." He said as you blinked twice.

"I'm Y/n L/n." You said as you noticed the song was a love song.

We danced the night away
We drank too much
I held your hair back when
You were throwing up

Then you smiled over your shoulder
For a minute I was stone-cold sober
I pulled you closer to my chest
And you asked me to stay over

"Would it be strange as If I said that music is playing in my ears?" Thomas said as your eyes widened.

"Would it be strange if I said the same?" You said as you blinked again. Thomas smiled softly before leaning in and giving you a brief yet romantic kiss. Sparks ignited and you felt on cloud nine. 

I said, I already told you
I think that you should get some rest

"Let's dance to it." Thomas said as you took his hand. Your hands melded together as you both began to sway to it.

Thomas brought you close before kissing your forehead and spinning you.
And I'll take the kids to school
Wave them goodbye

Your eyes met his chocolate brown and you could see something that others would laugh at. The world and time was slower. It had only been two hours not the normal six.

"Thomas what do you think of this?" You questioned as he twirled you around and kissed the corner of your lips. "Thomas?"

"I believe we're soulmates." He said as you both stopped dancing. While others would have laughed, you looked into his eyes and felt your heart beat faster as another love song began to play. You leaned in and kissed his lips softly as he kissed back. And as if the Magic hadn't stopped, there were fairy lights in your favorite tree. You smiled and decided not to push it as you and Thomas began to dance the night away while the music in your ears would continue for the rest of your love life till death do part.
