Roman~ Countdown *Soulmate*

A/n: This AU is based on two people will have a time stamped to their wrist like a tattoo and will countdown till them meet their love.

Beep beep beep!

You turned off your alarm that got you ready for work. As your feet touched the ground, you glanced at your wrist. 7 hours, 32 minutes, and 12 seconds or written like 7:32:12. That was the day you were suppose to meet your soulmate. While you were excited it was today, you were nervous. You've heard horror stories where the soulmate is actually evil and hurts their soulmate. Would he hurt you?

After your tense thoughts left your mind, you went to the shower and washed your body slowly. You had to go to the bakery and cook some desserts for customers. You left your house 30 minutes early before driving to the bakery. You saw that Mrs. Greene was already there baking and putting out treats.

"Good morning Y/n!" She called out. You waved at her and went to the back.

"What desserts are in right now?" You called out.

"The chocolate chip muffins." She said. "We're opening right at nine this morning."

"Awesome! How long are you staying open?" You asked before checking the muffins.

"Till 3:00." She said as you almost dropped the muffins. That's when you meet your soulmate. You started to set up the muffins when Mrs. Greene took your wrist. "You're going to meet your soulmate? That's wonderful!"

"I'm nervous." You said shyly.

"You have every right to be but I believe he'll be a sweetheart. I just have that feeling. You deserve it anyways." Mrs. Greene said before she flipped the sign to open.

After 15 minutes, people were bustling in and you had to start making new desserts. Luckily, you were used to the busy shift. Throughout the day, people were coming in and out that you didn't have time to stop. But when the lunch rush broke, it was 1:00. Mrs. Greene let you take lunch for 30 minutes.

When you came back, you noticed that it had slowed down a lot. It was nice that finally you could have a break. It was quite tiring and you were covered in flour and powdered sugar. You laughed at your reflection when you came back from lunch as Mrs. Greene snickered. No wonder the cashier at the restaurant thought he saw a ghost, you put a ghost to shame. You looked down at your wrist.

1:30:45

It was getting close. You could feel anxiety scratching at your throat as you thought of who it was.

~Roman's POV~
1:30:45. Roman had wondered about this strange tattoo. He tended to question it and asked Logan for help. Logan didn't know but Thomas mentioned soulmate. Would he find his prince/princess soon? He started to worry about that as he sat on the couch.

"If you keep looking at the table, you'll put a hole through it." Virgil sighed as Roman looked up.

"I'm nervous. I'm actually feeling anxiety. What if they don't like me? What if they hate me? What if they aren't my soulmate?" Roman began to panic as Virgil shook his head and Thomas came in.

"Whoever it is, they are probably a wonderful human being who loves the world as much as you." Thomas said as Roman was looking down. "How about we go out? All of us."

"I'm up for it. I'll ask Mr. Encyclopedia and Pat." Virgil said as Thomas smiled. Roman was still looking down. "They will be good for you. I know it."

"How do you know?" Roman asked in a sarcastic tone.

"You need someone to slay but I'm betting they are that way." Thomas said as Virgil, Logan, and Patton came down.

1:10:07

Roman glanced down. It seemed weird to believe in fate but it was something he had to prepare for. Even Virgil wasn't as anxious as him. Thomas managed to drag him out as they went to the park.

For a while, they hung out and went shopping which made all of them hungry but Patton suggested a bakery. He wanted something sweet.

"Let's go then." Thomas announced as all of them began to walk to a bakery which was down the street from where they were.

10:00

~Back to you~

10:00

You gasped as you saw your wrist. It was 10 minutes before you met your soulmate. Would he be coming here? Mrs. Greene asked you to close shop as Mr. Greene needed to go to a doctor's appointment.

While you continued to serve desserts, you failed to notice a group of boys entering or the clock on your wrist said one minute. You failed to notice a boy dressed as a prince looking at you in awe or the other boys grinning ear to ear. It was almost closing time and you began to clean. Your hair was up out of your face while flour and powdered sugar were all over your face and clothes.

You turned to look at your wrist and saw only 30 seconds remained. You felt your chest clench as you began to clean up. That meant your soulmate was here or just about to show up.

15 seconds

You took a deep breath as you sweeped the back.

10 seconds

You went back to the counter failing to see a group of boys pushing the one boy in prince clothes forward.

When the clock reached zero, your wrist began to feel like it was burning. You looked up and met eyes with a brown eyed guy. He was dressed in prince attire and he had a nervous grin on his face. You looked down the same time he did and your face reflected his shock.

"You're my soulmate?!" You both said at the same time. You blushed as he grinned and took your hand in his.

"How about I take you out after you close up?" He asked.

"I don't even know your name." You said as he blushed red like his sash.

"It's Roman and you're?" Roman asked as you smiled. His eyes were so captivating and you felt your heart racing.

"Y/n." You said as you leaned forward. He did too. Your lips met his which were soft and elegant. You continued to kiss over the counter when the rest of them showed.

"Finally Roman!" Thomas exclaimed as you both pulled away and you turned your head. "We're his brothers. I'm Thomas, this is Patton, Logan, and Virgil."

"Nice to meet you." You said as you smiled up at Roman. "What would you like to order?"

"I'll have two chocolate chip cookies." Thomas said.

"I'll have a blueberry muffin." Virgil sighed.

"I'll have a strawberry scone." Logan said.

"I'll have five macaroons!" Patton said excitedly as you giggled.

"And I'll have you to go." Roman said as you blushed.

"I can make that arraignment." You teased before getting their desserts and closing shop. You walked out hand in hand with Roman while his brothers continued to munch on their food leaving you two to go on your date.
