A/n: This soulmate is about two people who don't see color until they meet their soulmate. Their world is black and white until then.

It was Saturday morning when you woke up in your bed. Your gray bed sheets covered the white bed that was sitting on a black floor. Why couldn't you see color? You were told that you hadn't met your soulmate. You lived in monochrome for all of your life and you didn't seem worried. You had daydreams of what green, blue, red, and other colors looked like. It was something you had to imagine. Then you would daydream about your soulmate. You wondered whether he was nice or did he enjoy his monochrome life.

You dressed yourself in what looked like a white dress. You knew it was another color but your eyes only showed white. You slipped on some dark shoes and walked downstairs to fix breakfast and go search for your soulmate like usual on Saturdays.

~Virgil POV~
I woke up still seeing black and white. This never changes. Thomas says there's a soulmate for me but there isn't. Roman, Patton, and Logan seem to found theirs too and I'm here alone. It seems usual.

"Virg, maybe you should go out today?" Thomas suggested.

"What's the point?" I grumbled lowly.

"The point is the find your soulmate!" Roman exclaimed.

"I'll go with you! I wanted to go for a walk anyways!" Patton said as I sighed. How could I say no?

"Fine. I'll go out but only for a couple of hours. After that, I'm coming home." I growled slipping on my black Vans.

"Great! Let's go!" Patton exclaimed before pushing me towards the door.

"Slow down! I can't keep up!" I snapped before Patton slowed down. "Why did you come along?"

"I have faith you will find your soulmate today." Patton said.

"Fate is never guaranteed." I mumbled before Patton shot me a glare. "What?"

"Not with that attitude. You need to turn that frown upside down. How about we go to the park?" Patton suggested as I followed behind. Nothing ever works out for me so that's my attitude but I didn't want to tell Patton or he'd get mad again.

We went walking around the park for a bit while Patton told me what he saw. Of course the lake was gray, the grass was black, and the sky was white. That's all I saw. I continued to blindly follow Patton until I tripped over a dip in the road.

"That's it. I'm going home." I snapped as Patton pouted but I walked back home.

~~Regular POV~

You were walking around the park listening to the surroundings. Sure, you couldn't see it clearly but you could hear the birds chirp and the kids play. It was your favorite past time.

As you walked by the bench that normally Mr. Derby sits at to feed the birds, you saw two guys about your age arguing. As you focused on the guy who had his arms crossed, you started to see faint colors.

You let out a gasp as that guy walked away and the other pouted. Was this your soulmate? You decided to change your walk where you would cross lines with the guy that was left standing. As you walked by slowly, you heard the guy sigh.

"What's wrong?" You asked.

"I just wanted Virgil to explore around with me. He needs to find his soulmate." The guy said. "Oh, I'm Patton and you are?"

"I'm Y/n. I walked by because I saw the argument and then when I looked at the other guy that was with you, I saw some colors." You admitted as Patton's eyes widened.

"You saw colors when looking at him?" Patton yelped.

"I mean it was faint because I just looked at him but I saw gray tones until I looked at him and I got a glimpse of the colors green and blue." You said while scratching the back of your neck. You thought it was odd to admit it but Patton grabbed your hand.

"You have to meet him!" Patton yelled while dragging you to their house. You stumbled along behind him and tripped over some things.

"Slow down. I'm gonna have a broken leg before mmph-!" You ran straight into Patton's back as he turned into his driveway.

"Thomas!" Patton screamed. You watched a guy with dark hair and dark eyes wearing jeans and a t shirt walk out.

"What Patton?" Thomas asked as he looked at you. "Oh who is this?"

"This is Y/n, she saw faint colors looking at Virgil but I thought I'd make Patton meet her." Patton said as Thomas pulled you in.

"What is with people pulling me?" You said aloud as you saw the guy with all black known as Virgil sitting on the couch. You started to see some colors but you looked up at Thomas who nodded his head.

"Virgil, I'd like you to meet one of Patton's friends. Their name is Y/n." Thomas said as Virgil turned around. He looked at you and his eyes widened. You smiled at him and it was cliche how it happened but colors were fading in.

"Hello." Virgil said as you waved at him.

"Hey there. I might have saw some colors when you were at the park." You said as he turned his head.

"I was wondering why I began to see faint colors." Virgil said as you laughed softly. "I was beginning to think there was no one out there for me."

"I just figured mine was hiding." You laughed as Virgil smirked.

"Do you mind if I kiss you?" Virgil said as you nodded your head. He leaned down and his lips pressed against yours softly. You kissed back immediately and the colors came into fruition when you opened your eyes. You saw everything vivid and when you looked around. Virgil was wearing black and purple, Patton was wearing a bright blue t shirt with a gray sweater, and Thomas had a Steven Universe t shirt on. You smiled when you looked back at Virgil and he smiled down at you.

"Virgil is smiling!" Patton exclaimed as two more came running down the stairs. One was wearing a white puffy shirt while the other was wearing a black polo with a dark blue tie.

"He is!" exclaimed the one in the white puffy shirt. Virgil pouted and blushed softly.

"Y/n, this is Roman and Logan. They are brothers of mine." Virgil said as you laughed.

After talking with the other brothers, Virgil took your hand and pulled you to his room where you guys laid down to watch Nightmare Before Christmas

"I'm glad you finally came around."  You said.

"I'm not going anywhere." Virgil said as he held you tightly. "I love you Y/n."

"I love you too Virgil." You said softly in his ear as you two continued to watch the rest. Little did you know that he became comfortable with his name from you always saying "I love you Virgil" which made him more happy. You two were inseparable and you two later became engaged.
