Chapter 18 - Semi-Finals

Two weeks later

"I can't believe i'm up against Lillie. I knew she would get far but not this far. I'm really proud of her." I whispered to Lucario as we took our steps up to the Semi-final battle field.

Over the past two weeks I had defeated Dawn, Serena, Clemont and Ritchie along with a whole bunch of kuhunas, gymleaders and champions. Lillie had defeated Iris, Misty and also alot of trial operators who she knew from going to Pokeschool with. There were only four people left in the league. Lillie, Gary, Ban and me. After all my easy wins i had increasingly grown more popular the second. I could barley go anywhere without reporters flashing cameras in my face.

We reached the field. Lillie was already there at the other end. I wasn't sure whether I would go all out and break her confidence or hold back and make her confidence. Before I could decide Lillie made the decision for me.

"Meli. Please dont hold back. I know you will win but i want to know how I match up to you."

"Are you sure? Oka...!"

The speakers interrupted me like they always did." HELLO LADIES AND GENTS. DONT WE HAVE A MATCH TONIGHT. THE WONDERFUL LILLIE VERSUS THE ONE HIT MELIODAS. I RECKON THIS IS THE FIRST PERSON WHO ACTUALLY STANDS A CHANCE AGAINST MELIODAS. ANYWAY, THIS BATTLE IS DOUBLES 4V4. NO MEGA EVOLOUTION OR Z-CRYSTALS ALLOWED. WE HAVE THE GREAT LUSAMINE JOINING US TODAY."

I looked around the crowd. She had never come to any of my battles before. It must have been because Lillie was there. I had to ask Lillie right after the Battle.

"OKAY SO SEND OUT YOUR FIRST POKEMON PLEASE AND LET THE BATTLE COMMENCE!"

I knew who I would send out. I sent out Lucario because both Lillie and I knew he was one of my strongest pokemon but of course she didn't know that I had a Legendary: Lunala. I wasn't sure who else I would send out. I decided on Incineroar. After I sent both of them out Lillie nodded to herself and sent out Primerina and Magcargo.

"Ahhh clever choices. You chose types which my pokemon were weak against."

"I learnt a lot about pokemon types in Pokeschool."

 Battle Start

"Primerina use Hydro pump on Incineroar and Magcargo use fire blast at Lucario."

"Both of you dodge and both use giga impact at your own attackers."

Incineroar just barley dodged the hydro pump but Lucario dodged easily. They then tried to hit Lillies pokemon with giga impact. Magcargo was hit but Primerina managed to dodge. Magcargo fell limp on the ground. 

"MAGCARGO IS UNABLE TO BATTLE SEND OUT YOUR NEXT POKEMON."

"Snowy come out. Okay Snowy use Moon blast on Lucario. Primerina use hydro  pump again"

"Lucario dodge then use focus blast on Snowy. Incineroar dodge and use earthquake."

The moon blast missed Lucario and he used Focus blast which hit Snowy who fell to the ground. Incineroar was hit by the hydropump but quickly recovered and used Earthquake. The ground shook vigerously .Primerina fell over and sustained alot of damage. Finally the ground stopped shaking and Snowy got up where as Primerina did not.
