Chapter 3 - Meliodas

*BEEP*

*BEEP*

*BEEP*

I woke up with a gasp. "Hello John Doe." I was in a typical hospital room. I looked around frantically trying to work out what had happened. My Heart monitor started beeping like crazy. "Hey hey , its okay." I looked to my right to find a man sat on a chair. I had heard that voice before, he was the man who spoke when I was with the Chancey. "wh...who are you?" I asked. "My name is Meliodas , I was the one who spotted you on the street" He replied. " Its a miracle you are still alive, all the doctors thought you were a gonner but you never gave up and you came through." I was baffled at this news. I hadn't realised any of that had happened. " Anyway , who are you ?" Meliodas inquired. I only shook my head in responce. I knew that if they found out who i was i would be sent back to that horrible place. " Well you are going to have to tell officer Jenny when she gets here, she will need to inform your parents." With this i broke down to tears. I couldn't go back. I couldn't."Please don't! Please don't make me !" I cried " I can't go back " "what do you mean?" Meliodas questioned. "I'll explain later now please please get me out of here before Jenny gets here." I said while wiping my tears away. He thought for a moment then finally agreed. I quickly jumped up out of the bed and ran out of the door. Meliodas followed swiftly behind. We made it to the entrance when suddenly Officer Jenny walked through the door."Please dont recognise me , please dont." I thought. Jenny simply looked at both of us and moved along towards the room we were in to which Meliodas and i ran for the door without looking back.

Meliodas took me to a small wooden shack at the edge of  the city. "In here." He whispered. I walked in to find a a single room with all the required utilites in it : a single bed, a fridge, an oven etc. He sat on the bed and motioned for me to go sit by him."So , Spill the beans. What happened?"

After i told him , He was completely shocked that any human being could be that cruel to a ten year old.( I decided to make him 10 instead)." I completely understand why you wouldnt want to tell your name." I gave a sigh of relief that he understood." But there is one thing i want to ask you, earlier today you  kinda ..."He trailed off. "I Kinda what ?" I urged "You changed your face when Officer Jenny came by us." He continued. I was completely confused by that. "Anyway, i have decided to help you , i will get you to another region if you'd like. I Hear that Alola is a nice place to live." I was so gobsmacked that a stranger would do that to help me.

The next morning we set off for the airport. Fortunatley the security was light as they were short on money so we were able to get on a plane unnoticed quite easily. As the plane began to take lift off i whispered "Goodbye cruel Kanto." As the plane journey was super long i decided to make a Thank you card for Meliodas to show him how much i appreciated him for what he had done ."Here, this is for you." I said as i handed over the card. "Why thank yo.." From that point on everything went down hill. "ATTENTION PASSENGERS, PLEASE GET TO YOUR SEATS. WE ARE UNDERATTACK BY TEAM SKULL. PLEASE REMAIN CALM." Suddenly giant explosions could be heard from above . A high pitch ringing noice filled my ears. All I could do was curl up into a ball and hope that everything would be okay. The plane started to nose dive. We were headed for the ocean . There was nothing any of us could do. CRASH!!! The plane hit the water . Fortunately the plane had only been damaged at the top so the plane didn't sink . I poked my head above the seats . Everyone seemed seriously injured . Why was I the only one who was okay . I looked at Meliodas. He smiled at me as if to say he was ok . We both got up and helped other people get their life jackets on as it was the only thing we could really do to help . We ushered everyone out onto the rafts when instantaneously a helicopter could be heard in the sky . A man on came down on a rope and tried to grab me . I saw that he had 'team skull' written on his shirt so I took a few steps back. By this time Meliodas had noticed the odd appearance and came rushing over . Before he could get to me more people with team skull came down and surrounded me. They grabbed me from all sides and lifted me up into the air slightly before Meliodas grabbed my foot. "Get off or you'll pay" one of the team skull grunts said . "Never !" Meliodas responded. With that the grunt got out a gun and shot at him . Meliodas let go of the my leg and dropped to the floor . "Nooooooo!!!!!" I screamed. Meliodas was gone . The one person who truly cared about me. He was gone . Everything went quiet. I stared at the aeroplane as I was lifted up into the helicopter . I blocked out all the voices . I just didn't care anymore .
I was put in some sort of glass box which was incredibly strong. All I did was stare . Stare right in front of me . I was oblivious to everything around me . I closed my eyes and dug my head in my knees.
I heard people shouting my name "ASH! ASH!" I looked up and saw a luminous figure. It was Giovanni . "Hey Ash , don't worry I'm not here to hurt you . I saved you from team skull ." He informed me. "Really ? Wow ! That's uhhhh a change of heart in your part ." Giovanni let me out of the box . We were above a beautiful island which I believed to be Alola. "I made it." I whispered. "Look Ash, I realise you have nowhere to go , before you ask , I have all information so I know everything that has happened. I am truly sorry for what happened. I was wondering if you would like to join team rocket. It's entirely up to you but you would be paid well and you would be valued a lot. The only thing is you'd need a new name to avoid being found by your past." I thought about it for a moment . I didn't have anything to loose and I did need someone to rely on . After a few minutes I finally answered " yes , I accept. My new name shall be Meliodas.
