Shailene POV:

"YOU'RE WHAT!?!" Megan and Zoe shout in unison.
Theo runs into the room.
"Everything alright?" He asks.
"Yes. Theo everything is fine. I promise." I say.
I peck him on the lips and push him out.
"Keep your voices down." I scold.
"You're what?" They ask whispering this time.
"Yes, I'm pregnant. I've tried seven different brands and they are all positive."
"When are you going to tell Theo."
"Tonight, when we go to the garden."
"Why?"
"It's our anniversary."
"Happy Anniversary!"
I roll my eyes.
"Now leave, so I can get dressed."
They wink while they walk out.
On the outside, I may see calm and collective.
But on the inside I am frazzled and scared.
I change into a Pink Lace Strapless Short Dress and Gold Studded Spike White Flats.
I curl my hair and walk to the living room. Where Theo is ready.

I hand Theo a wrapped box and as he does the same to me.
I open it to see a Heart-Shaped Topaz Pendant. I peck him on the lips.
I should tell him now.
He wraps his arm around me.
"Theo how many people are in this family?" I ask him.
He smile.
"Me and You. 1 and 2." He says pointingat himself and me.
"Actually it's one 1, 2, and 3." I say pointing at myself, him, and stomach. "We're having a baby."
He kisses me.
"We're having a baby!" He exclaims.
"We're having a baby." I say.
"Wait when?"
"I think it was that one night where we were in the tub...Wow, you really can't be too careful."
"How are we going to tell everyone?" Theo asks me.
"Send them a card?" I say nervously laughing.
"Shai."
"Ugh. I don't want to tell them."
"Well how about next Saturday we invite them to brunch and we can break the news to them."
"I think not. Knowing Megan and Zoe, they probably told everyone."
"You told the best friends before the boyfriends?" Theo asks offended.
He's kidding.
"Well in my defense, you're a big strong, tall, handsome man. And I'd probably fall under a trance." I say.
"A lot of things can happen."
"Yes. They can happen."
Theo picks me up.
"Let's go see the Gynecologist tomorrow." I say.
"Why?"
"Because I already set up an appointment."
"Always heads up with you."
"I'm sorry. It seemed like a good idea at the time."
"That's why I love you."
He nibbles at my neck, making me giggle.
I lean my head on his shoulder and he kisses my forehead.
We watch the sunset.
I yawn and Theo chuckles.
He picks me up bridal style.
"I am perfectly capable of walking." I say.
"Get some sleep, Shailene. I'll take you home."
He pecks me on the lips.
My eyelids begin to droop and I feel the sleep overcome my body.

I put on a black shirt, white capri pants, and black high tops. I walk down with Theo and we drive to the hospital.
"Shailene Taptiklis." A nurse calls.
Theo and I get up and walk to the doctor's room.
"Hello Mr. and Mrs. Taptiklis. I'm Dr. Violette. You're here because you're pregnant. Well let's take a look." The doctor says putting on gloves.
I get on the bed and Dr. Violette puts a cold gel on my stomach and rubs it around.
"You are having twins. You will know the genders in the second trimester. The embryos are just two cells or because you are having twins, four cells." She says.
I nod.
"So don't be worried if you show signs of extreme fatigue, using the bathroom a lot, morning sickness, and hormonal fluctuations." The doctor says.
"Alright. Thanks and we will be ready for any of those signs." Theo says smiling at me.
I sneeze.
"Uh...bathroom?" I ask smiling sheepishly.
"Third door down." Doctor Violette says.
I get up and walk to the bathroom.
Gosh. I'm in for a ride.
