Ethan's POV
"We need to find out who attacked us. Where they are. How many people they have. How many guns. How much ammo." I said.
"I agree. We lost seventeen of our people. Three of which were children. We also lost several parents, now we've got orphans as well. This is a community, and we can't let the attack on the people we care about slide. We have to act. We have to kill them all." Damian said as he slammed his hands on the table.
"I guess there's a first time for everything. I actually agree with Damian. We have to kill them. All of them." Talia said.
"If we're gonna do that we need to find them first." Ezekiel said.
"I'll take a team out. We'll need guns in case we find them." Damian said.
"Ok. I'll come with you. Let me go find some other willing volunteers." Carl said as he turned and walked towards the door.
"Willing volunteers. That is the stupidest shit I've ever heard. If you're a leader of this group, act like one. Assign people to come with us." Damian growled.
Carl stopped, then turned around and walked right up to Damian.
"I am acting like one. Everyone here has families. I'm not going to force them to risk their lives to come on this mission that is being led by an insane psychopath who could very easily get them all killed." Carl said as he got right in Damian's face.
"You're nothing but a little bitch. You're weak. You won't do what's necessary to keep us alive." Damian said.
Carl stepped back and gave the man a glare that would have dissolved him into dust if looks could kill.
"Fuck. You." He said before slamming his fist into Damian's nose.
If Carl hadn't done that I definitely would have.
Damian stumbled back and hit the wall, grabbing his now broken and bleeding nose. Carl shook his fist and cursed under his breath before walking out and slamming the door shut. Everyone else in the room just looked at Damian in stunned silence. He pushed by me and went into the bathroom, slamming the door behind him.
"Well. That was a great meeting everyone. Let's get ready." Tony awkwardly said as he got up and walked to the door.
We all followed and left the building. Carl was talking to a small group of people by our new graveyard, filled by the seventeen people who we'd lost. He looked back at us and gave a thumbs up.
I guess he got them to commit to joining the team.
He and the people he'd been talking to walked up to us, all of them had a grim look on their faces, but they also had clear signs of anger and determination.
"I got us a team. Where's Damian?" Carl asked.
"In the bathroom dealing with his nose. Good punch by the way, I wish I'd been the one to do it." Talia said.
Carl nodded and grabbed my hand then pulled me off to the side.
"I need you to stay here. Please. I don't want to lose you, and if I don't... if I don't make it back Cain and Abel will still have you to take care of them." He said.
