"Dad!!!! Stop it!"
"Are you hiding something from me?! Who is he?!" Dr. Geronimo yelled.
Gerald was holding his jaw and stopped himself from retaliating as he realized who his attacker was. "Dr. Geronimo, we can explain..." Gerald started. Sarah knelt beside him.
"Halika ka nga dito! At kelan ka pa natutong magsinungaling?! Ha?Ha? " Nanlilisik ang mata at tinuturo ang anak.
The commotion caught the attention of the lobby staff and security personnel were called.
Di nakasagot si Sarah. Gerald was shocked at the turn of events and couldn't believe how a perfect day could be marred like this. Pinilit niyang mag-explain sa ama ni Sarah ngunit puno ng galit ito and couldn't seem to heed to reason. He was shouting at Gerald, while Sarah, who knelt by his side was sobbing uncontrollably. Gerald couldn't see her face as her head was bowed but he could see her shoulders shaking and he could hear her sorrow. Naawa si Gerald kay Sarah at gustong gusto niya itong ipagtanggol. Gerald for his part didn't stop from trying...
"Dr. Geronimo, if you can please calm down. ... i truly respect how you feel and it's unfortunate you have to learn about us this way...."
"Who are you?! What are you doing to my daughter? You think you can fool her with your fancy words?! ...You son of a bitch..."
Nang akmang susuntukin ulit ni Dr. Geronimo si Gerald, biglang sumigaw si Sarah.
"Stop it Dad! Just stop it! Stop controlling my life...stop controlling me! You wanna know what this man did to me? He treated me like a person.." Sarah was crying but wanted her words heard. " He made me believe in myself and love who I am. Can't you see? I'm doing everything to make you happy. Do you hear me complain? No. You don't know how hard it is everyday to dress up and pretend to be the person you want me to be. Ang hirap dad! Ang sakit na 'di mo matanggap yung mga pangarap ko. Puro na lang sa 'yo! Puro na lang pagpapanggap para masabi ng mga tao, maayos kang ama. At eto, meron kang maipagmamalaking anak na susunod sa yapak ni the GREAT Dr. Geronimo! Perfect 'di ba?! 'Yan ang akala mo! Unti unti mo akong pinapatay...unti-unti akong namamatay araw araw na hindi mo nakikita kung sino ako..."
Dr. Geronimo was stunned by what he was hearing. Gerald was trying to comfort Sarah who now stood and bravely faced her father.
"Now, you don't have any choice but to accept the fact that I love this man beside me. We're together now. Boyfriend ko na siya." Sarah took Gerald's hand. " I met him at Camp before and we stayed in touch all these years. And it's not as if we didn't think this through, because we did. Siguro naman hindi bawal ang magmahal daddy."
Parang walang narinig si Dr. Geronimo sa mga sinabi ng anak niya, "Uuwi na tayo. Ako pa din ang ama mo kaya wala kang karapatang husgahan ako. " Nang subukan niyang hilahin si Sarah papalayo sa binata, nagulat siya nang umilag ang dalaga at lumayo sa kanya.
"No! You cannot run my life for me anymore. Gerald, tara na!" and with that, Sarah briskly walked away from his father.
Gerald looked at Sarah trying to tell her to calm down and give him the chance to talk to her father. He knew that emotions were running high and he didn't want her to make any irrational decisions. One that she'd regret later on. However, Sarah quickly walked away, and Gerald had no choice but to follow her, afraid that something would happen to her. As he was rushing out to catch Sarah, he quickly turned to dr. Geronimo, saying, "I'll take care of her and we'll talk to you po sir. We can explain everything..."
