CHAPTER TWENTY -FOUR: BEAUTIFUL

Mercury slides me a hunny bun and a cotton candy flavored lollipop as I sit down at the lunch table.

Before I can say anything a body tackles me to the floor. "Oh shit! The bad ass is back!" Summer screams in my ear.

My body is sprawled across the lunch room floor, while summers is hovering over me. "Dude....ow!" I yell. She helps me up uttering a sorry.

Aaron stares at her adoringly as she sits down next to him. Thaz and ryder are the next to sit down at the table.

I stare down blankly at Mercury's long legs occupying my seat. "Move your legs!" He takes a bite of his apple, looking at me innocently. "What?"

"I said move your legs, daddy long legs."

Hades slams his tray on the table as he sits down. "I heard my name." He says.

We all give him a questionable look. He shrugs his shoulder "daddy.." a series of eye rolling and scoffs shake the table.

"Please if anything, I'm daddy." Aaron says smirking at Summer.

"No baby, I think we all know, im daddy." Summer says confidently taking a bite of her pizza.

"YOU CANT STEAL MY TITLE!" Hades screams.

I ignore them turning back to mercury. "Move your legs."

"No."

"Ok." I take my chance and sit down on his legs.

He calmly takes another bite of his apple, staring at me with narrowed eyes. "What ya going to do?" I ask snatching the hunny bun and taking the lollipop.

He shrugs his shoulder, unfazed. "Eat my apple." He states holding it in front of his eyes.

"Hey mercury." I look up at a timid girl who is holding her books in front of her. Her friends are cowering behind her.

"What?" He takes another bite of his apple and I get lost on his jawline as he chews.

"We....we heard that you were in jail..." She stutters.

Mercury cocks his head to the side and stops chewing. "Oh- n-no offense or anything. We just think it's really hot."

This girl...

"That I was in jail?"

A large smile stretched over the girls face. "Yeah, What did you do?"

He continues to chew and takes another bite. "Killed someone." He turns back to me. "Now get off of my legs."

I can't help but to snicker at the girls shocked faces. "He's just kidding," I say then turn to him. "You are the one that decided to put your long ass legs here."

He sits up and puts the apple down. The girls are still standing there in shock. He wraps his hands around my waist and effortlessly lifts me off of his legs.

I let out a scream while flailing my arms. Scared that mercury will drop me. He sets me down on the dirty lunch room floor and moves his legs.

The girls scurry away as mercury sends them a glare.

"Rude." I mutter and sit in my seat.

"Shut up Hades." Summer says turning her attention to us.

"So tell me what happened." She says taking another bite of her pizza.

"We went to jail." Mercury says blankly, picking his apple back up.

"Duh, but why?"

Mercury shrugs. "I don't know, Summer."
