Chapter 2

Neil hugged Avni tight and held her as close to him as possible. Her words, her raw emotions in the letter had really touched his heart. He had so many things that he had wanted to say but now after reading her letter he was speechless. His girl had put her heart out on that paper and he knew that this was actually a show of her utmost love, devotion and faith in him. The girl who was so guarded, who didn't trust anyone, who would not open up and tell people whats in her heart had bared her soul to him. Neel had always wanted her to introspect and be less rash but he was realising with a heavy heart that now avni was in self depreciation mode. Her guilt was so overpowering that she was holding herself responsible for everything which was not fair. He wiped his own tears with the back of his hand and then pulled back and looked at avni. He wiped her tears away. HE held both her hands in his tight and just looked into her eyes for a few seconds.

Avni- thank you ki tum ne apna dil khol ke rakh diya hai. But tumhe bhi pata hai ki jo sab kuch hua us me sirf tumhaari galti nahi hai. Maine bhi bahut galtiyan ki hai...

Avni started to interrupt him but neel placed a hand on her mouth.

I know why you reacted the way you did.
