Chapter 32

The next day avni and Neil began their sightseeing at the boboli gardens. They enjoyed the long walk in the garden enjoying the beautiful ambience amidst the lush greenery. The climate was also very pleasant. Avni was dressed in a very pretty offshoulder top and shorts and Neil was enjoying the view of his beautiful wife in addition to everything else! ;) He had a tough time taking his eyes off her and his incessant staring had led to many blushing moments for his lady love. Avni and Neil took some time to just sit and lie down on the soft grass and taking in the environment around them. Neil- avni, there's something I wanted to ask you he said a little nervouslyAvni- hmm bolo she said turning to look at himNeil voh...voh actually I've been thinking about. I mean I've always wanted to but now I really want to...I told you that...Avni- neil!- she interrupted him. What's wrong with you? Jo bolna hai saaf saaf bolo. She took his hand in hers rubbing it softly. Kya kehna chahte ho? She asked him softlyNeil- you remember our first date?Avni- of course she said with a smile. It was my first date ever! Neil- remember how we talked about things we wanted to try out n stuffAvni- ya...Neil- well, I wanted to do one of those things on this tripAvni- ok what?Neil - get a tattooAvni- eyes widening in surprise- umm ok- are you sure Neil? Aren't you scared of needles? Neil- ya but I want to overcome my fear and get inked. I have the perfect design in mind too...Avni- what design?Neil- voh...voh it'll be a surpriseAvni- no need. I want to see what is this design which has suddenly made you think about getting a tattoo!Neil- showed her a picture on his phoneAvni looked at it in shock!It was a beautiful calligraphy of her name with a Halo around the A and feather pattern on the base Kinda like this- but with avnis name. Imagine a couple of stars beside the name too.

Avni - Neil, this is very sweet. But you don't need to do this she said holding his hands.Neil- I know I don't need to do it, but I want to. I already told you Ive always thought about getting a tattoo. And now I finally have something I really want to get and I actually wanted it to be a surprise but then I figured since I'm scared of needles I should just take you along for moral support....I really want to get this done! Avni- hmm...I have an idea! Ok come on let's go. We need to get some stuff. She pulled him up and walked to a nearby essentials and grocery storeNeil- avni, hum yahaan Kya Kar rahi haiAvni- ssh...tumhaare tattoo ka jugaad.Neil- Kya?Avni- ssh...gimme 5 mins. She quickly bought somethings and asked Neil to come with her. She kept walking until she reached a secluded street corner with a place they could sit at.Avni- ok perfect. Come on. Let's get you a tattooNeil- huh? Yahaan pe? How? Avni- patience Neil, patience.She pulled him down to sit.Accha ab voh design dikhao.She traced the design on a piece of paper from his phone with a black marker and cut it out.Avni- ok where do you want this tattoo?Neil- umm...Avni- enthusiastically- let's put it on your arm! That way it'll be prominent! She winked at him with a smile.Next she went on to pour some nail polish remover (alcohol) on his arm and then she placed the design on the paper down on his arm and held it down for a minute. When she removed it, the faint design of her name was now on his hand. Next she fished out her waterproof eyeliner from her purse and traced the design on his arm. Next she put some baby powder on top of it, left it on for a few seconds and wiped it off. She traced the design again with her eyeliner and repeated the process 3-4 times. Finally she dusted it off and looked at Neil and said - there you go! Our very own DIY (do it yourself)tattoo... No need for needles and all!Neil- looked at his arm and he was surprised at how authentic it looked!Avni- so what do you think?Neil- avni, it's awesome...but it's temporary na. Avni- arey so what? Tumhe toh tattoo se Matlab haina...so now you have tattoo without needles and anyway it'll last at least a week coz it's waterproof eyeliner. Uske baad we can do some other design if you want! And if you ask me this is better...you won't look professional sporting a tattoo to work and why go through the fear of needles n all..Do you know how dangerous it can be. If they don't sterilise the needle you could get hepatitis B, C or HIV! She said dramaticallyNeil- just shook his head at avni with a smile. She was so amazing! She always came up with unique solutions! Ok Meri maa..Agreed. Your DIY tattoo is pretty cool. Thank you. Ab chaleinAvni- kahan chalein? You have to design one for me now!Neil- avni you don't have to do this! Avni- I know.but I want to. She winked at him repeating his dialogue from earlier.  Plus we can take a picture with our "couple tattoos". And it'll be a cool story. I designed yours and you can do mine.Neil- avni, but it may not come out neat like yours.Avni- so what? I don't care. I'll like it no matter how it turns out because you designed it! Neil- just smiled at her and gave her a quick peck on her cheekAvni- and if it's terrible, its ok, after all it's temporary na! She said with a teasing smileNeil- avni! He exclaimedAvni- what? I'm only stating facts. Now come on, hurry up. We have a train to catch in 2 hours.Neil- Jo hukum mrs.khanna.So Neil followed avnis instructions and soon avni was sporting a tattoo on her arm as well.and to commemerate the same, they clicked a picture together flashing their couple tattoo !

( Avnis tattoo is Neil's name with a little heart on the side and a small crown on top of his name!)

Once they were done with their little DIY session they cleared up the place and made their way to the train station to catch a train to Pisa. It was only an hour ride to see the famous leaning tower of Pisa.Once they got there both avni and Neil transformed into the stereotypical hyper tourists. After enjoying the view from the tower they came down to start with trick photography...trying to lean against the tower, push it, hold it from the top, etc etc...a possible angles of photography were tried! After that was done, suddenly Avni decided she wanted to take "jumping" pictures. Basically candid pics of her jumping with her feet off the ground. But unfortunately it took them a while to get the perfect picture because it was difficult to coordinate the timing of her jump and Neil's click! Finally after multiple attempts they managed to her the perfect shot! By the time they wrapped up all this it was time to return to Florence. On their way back they found some other tourists on the train who were friendly and they all exchanged notes about things to see and do. Before they knew it, it was night time already and time to make plans for the next leg of their trip in Venice ! 

A/N Hey people,hope you enjoyed this chapter.This is just one of the ways to get a temporary tattoo. Have any of you tried something like this? I haven't but I intend to...personally I like the idea of getting a tattoo but I don't want to do anything permanent. So this is a perfect middle ground! 😂  I just realized that I have actually incorporated many of  my own experiences, wishlists, fantasies etc. in this FF which is why it's quite close to my heart.
