Jimin's POV: 25 August, 2035
After switching to my Variant form, I was having my gear put on me. You might be wondering why I'm not putting it on myself. It's for safety reasons if anything. The professionals put it on and make sure it's secured properly. It also relieves the stress of us having to do it ourselves, especially when we're about to go on a mission. This doesn't go for just me. Everyone has their gear put on by someone else, whether it be a member from another unit, or the secretaries, we aren't allowed to do it ourselves.
I looked at the various weapons being placed on my belt. If I'm honest, I'm not sure why I need any of them. Not to brag, I am the Variant, most of these weapons I can use my powers for. The shuriken? Ice daggers. Laser gun? You can use any ability, most likely fire. I don't really need these weapons. Just some power boosting cakes to make sure my health isn't dropping to low points.
Finally, my gear was finished and I was ready. I walked in the direction of my room. I knew I had everything, but you can never be too sure. It wasn't long before I heard the footsteps of Jeon Jungkook behind me. I whipped myself around to face him.
"Hey." I said, smiling faintly.
"Hey." He said, returning the smile. "Nervous?"
"Not at all." I smirked. I knew my ass was cocky, he knew it too. He chuckled quietly.
We sat in each other's gaze for a few moments, until he lifted his hand and loosely grasped my arm. His warm hand trailed down my arm, and eventually ended up with my hand in his. He stared down at our intertwined fingers, his eyes nearly brimming with tears.
I couldn't let him break down before a mission. A serious mission for that matter. I squeezed his soft hand gently, and rubbed my thumb on the back of it.
"Jungkook... we're gonna be okay..." My voice was almost a whisper. I wasn't sure he heard it, but a stronger part of me knew he did.
In only mere seconds, the warmth of his soft lips were on my cold ones. He always seems to catch me when I'm never in my pure fire form. Surely, the intensity from all the other abilities is bothering him. I wonder if he feels the cold radiating from my lips, because I can easily feel his heat.
No, I didn't pull away. I immediately responded with a gentle kiss back, even though I was unsure of his intentions. Our lips melted together for a few moments, moments that were shorter than I hoped they would be. He pulled away and his piercing eyes gazed into my own.
"Your lips are sweet..." He said at least. I noticed out fingers were still laced together. I smiled.
"I try."
"Hey, can you lovebirds stop? We have a mission to go on!" Taehyung said excitedly.
"Well he's a little too excited for death." Jungkook chuckled nervously and I playfully slapped his arm.
"Don't say that!" I frowned.
Eventually, our hands became separate. Life is hard, isn't it?

Namjoon drove to the HQ. He was silent the whole time, which had me skeptical. He's usually one to ask questions, but this time he seemed focused. His facial expressions changed often, but always went back to a blank one focusing on the road, or his thoughts. It was definitely a different side of him, I've never seen him on a mission before.
A voice in my head was telling me to speak up about it, while another argued back saying to leave it alone. One suggested that the two voices shut up. Whatever was happening, was giving me a severe headache.
