Echo's feet touched down onto the ground beneath her with Clary and Isabelle by her side. The teleportation to the Citadel deemed much easier than Echo had thought. All three women looked around themselves with a mixture of awe surrounding them.
"Whoa," Clary was first to voice her astonishment.
"This is even more amazing than I had imagined." Isabelle was basically fangirling.
The trio took a step forward as Echo spoke, "Is this Idris?"
"More like the outskirts of Idris."
Echo tried to picture it in her mind, but it was quite difficult.
"Hey, do you think you can get us up there quicker?"
Echo looked over at Isabelle before up at the Citadel before them. Echo let out a breath and held out her hands.
The moment that Isabelle and Clary touched her, she sent them off and they landed right before the gates. The gates before them were made of long metal blades and when they walked up to them, they slowly lifted to allow them to pass. Clary and Echo looked up at the blades with curiosity as Isabelle was still in awe.
"I can't believe I'm actually going inside."
Isabelle had a smile clear on her face, but Echo didn't feel the same amount of glorification as the Shadowhunter did. The trio took a few more steps forward until a high-pitched ring sounded. Clary and Isabelle took the ring with a slight wince, but Echo was in an incredible amount of pain. She doubled over and put her hands up to her head as she felt the ground shake slightly.
The ring only lasted a few moments before they were suddenly surrounded by women dressed in white with blades extended out in front of them. Echo pulled in a breath of relief when the ringing stopped before she slowly straightened her back. Echo could feel that Clary and Isabelle had a bit of fear, but Echo was more focused on the accusations in the Iron Sisters' minds.
"Speak your names." The woman next to Clary spoke first.
There was only a moment of a pause, "Isabelle Lightwood."
Isabelle looked at Echo, "Echo Lightwood." Echo had expected for her name to strike the sisters, but it was Echo's maiden name that made the sisters grow tense.
"Ah, Valentine's daughter's." The woman beside Echo spoke as she looked into Echo's red eyes.
"Your father killed the Silent Brothers. He's taken our most valuable weapon. You must leave immediately."
"Clary and Echo have done nothing wrong." It was always Isabelle who was saving their asses.
"Allow me." Echo turned to the woman beside her as she spoke, "What answers do you seek?"
Echo narrowed her eyes at the woman as Isabelle spoke, "Why did Valentine go to all that trouble to steal the Soul-Sword?"
After a brief glance across the small circle of Iron Sisters, Echo got the impression that one of the six didn't want them there. Echo went to speak, but Clary let out the words first.
"Yes, Valentine is our father, but that man killed my mother. He experimented on my brother and sister. I want to stop him more than anyone. And if we have any chance of defeating him, we need your help."
It was silent for a moment, "And what of her?" Echo looked up at the woman beside her, "She is no Shadowhunter."
Echo honestly didn't fear the Iron Sister beside her; the Shadowdemon had already died. Echo glanced down at the Seraph blade aimed at her.
