Echo came out of her teleportation with a bend in her knees. She expected for herself to land in the street, but when a round of gasps sounded, She rolled her eyes. She slowly straightened her back and raised her head with slow, threatening movements. Echo's hair surrounded her face, which gave her an even more threatening demeanor.

The moment that Echo's head rose, she heard a string of growls and gasps. She could feel the fear in the air. The Shadowdemon narrowed her eyes at the customers with her lips set straight. Her arms stayed by her side with a slight shake in her hands. In her ears, she heard the screech of the chairs on the floor and a set of heavy steps. She was hoping for a fight.

"Wait."

Echo let out a breath of a laugh and rotated her head so that her hair fell back. She set her eyes on Jace as he held back a small pack of defenders. Among them Simon.

Echo licked her lips, "Oh, come on Jace. I thought you were the one that wanted to have some fun?" Echo's voice came out an octave deeper than her normal pitch.

Jace let out a small chuckle, "I am always down for a party, but you seem on edge." Jace was surprisingly cocky.

Echo grit her teeth, "Edge?" Echo twitched and Jace's demeanor suddenly changed. The trained Shadowhunter pulled a Seraph Blade from his belt with an audible sheen.

Echo let her face grown in annoyance; "You are not the first one to pull a weapon on me."

Jace glanced at everybody behind him, "Everybody out, now."

The ones who were afraid of a fight quickly left around Echo. Echo stood in the center of the bar with a smirk on her face as the weak ran out behind her.

"What are you doing here, Echo?" Jace also had a bend in his knees.

Echo twitched her head, "There's a storm coming. Can you not feel it?" Echo looked across the room to her twin and narrowed her eyes.

Jace let out a breath, "The storm." It wasn't a question. Jace looked to his side to where Simon stood with silent curiosity, "Demons go haywire when a storm comes."

Simon was terrified, "Demons?"

Echo suddenly straightened up, "Ah, yes. Simon is a little left in the dark." Echo took a few slow steps forward, "Did Clary not tell you? I have fully transitioned."

Simon's eyes went wide, "Into a—"

"Shadowdemon." Jace finished his sentence.

Echo eyed the blade in Jace's hands, "What are you going to do with that?"

Jace rocked on his feet, "Depends on how this standoff turns out."

Echo's lips twitched; she wanted to give a smirk, but she held her angered expression.

"I can feel how nervous you really are. Don't try to deceive me, dear brother. I hear everything. Although, not as much as I would have thought for you being my twin." Echo paused her slow steps, "Although, I know that you aren't my blood."

Jace's posture shifted slightly at the words, "What do you mean, of course we are."

Echo let out a frustrated breath, "Nobody ever believes me. It is infuriating."

Jace took a step forward with his blade out, "Come on, Echo. Let's just calm down and go back to the Institute. I'm sure Alec is wondering where you are."

Alec's name suddenly stroke at Echo's mood, "Alec," Echo let out a twitch before she pulled in a breath, "is occupied."

Jace noticed how fragile Echo was and he swallowed, "I'm sorry Echo."
