Echo entered the wild room alone. She was dressed in a casually elegant red dress with one arm dressed in a long sleeve whilst the other stood bare. The dress was penciled in at her thighs and the tall black shoes she had on her feet made her wobble slightly; courtesy of Isabelle of course. Echo's hair had also been styled by Isabelle and the Shadowhunter thought Echo would look best in curled hair and light make up. Echo hadn't been made up since her wedding and she felt odd. She glanced down at her left arm and pulled up her sleeve slightly. Her wedded rune was burned into her skin.

"Hey, there you are!"
Echo quickly dropped her sleeve and looked up at Alec who came to her with a smile. Echo put on a fake smile with a sigh.

"Yeah, finally got away from Isabelle."

Alec glanced at Echo, "I think you look amazing." Echo pulled in a breath as she felt Alec's emotion engulf her; although she was confused.

Echo let out her breath, "Thanks."

"Do you want a drink? I'm sure there's something that you might like." Alec was still smiling, but deep down Echo could feel his nervousness.

"Uh, sure. Just, uh, surprise me."

Alec gave a nod and walked over to the bar just as Magnus replaced Alec's body.

"Bonjour, mon petit Shadowdemon. You look ravishing." Magnus had on his usual black attire with lined eyes.

Echo let out a breath, "Thanks."

Magnus was quick to pick up on Echo's mood, "What's wrong?" Magnus' tone changed.

Echo shrugged, "Nothings wrong, why would you ask that?"

"I've known you for years, Echo. And I can tell by the way you are breathing. Do tell."

Echo let out a frustrated breath, "Nothing is wrong, Magnus."

"Here you go. Don't know what it's called, but apparently, it's supposed to be good." Alec held out a glass to Echo. The glass contained a light orange-ish liquid. Echo took the glass but didn't drink it right away.

"Thanks." Echo glanced around the room, "I'm going to find Clary." Echo quickly pushed away from the men and into the heart of the Spanish themed party.

Echo sipped her drink and immediately could taste the alcohol. She hadn't tasted the liquid in months and she had forgotten how potent the taste was. Regardless of the taste, Echo took another swig and before she knew it the glass was empty.

"Whoa, hey, might want to slow down." Echo glanced up at Jace who had approached her.

"Don't."

Jace held up his hands, "What's got you in a mood?"

Echo furrowed her eyebrows, "Why are you talking to me?"

Jace's emotion shifted as he noticed how sharp Echo's words were, "Okay, I'm sorry. I'll go."

Jace turned to walk away, but Echo suddenly felt desperate, "Wait."

The twin turned and faced her red eyes, "I'm sorry."

Jace let out a breath, "You want to tell me what's wrong?"

Echo licked her lips, "How did you even know?"

Jace pointed down to Echo's hand, "Because your hand is shaking? Are you already drunk?"

Echo was confused and pulled up her non-dominate hand. Sure enough, her right hand was convulsing.
