As I said "Good luck" to Katy, my mom and dad promised her they would make her a cake when she comes back on Team Sarah.

"Yeah, make it a chocolate cake. Don't forget the fudge!" She said, imagining her cake. My parents chuckled.

She waved goodbye as she excitedly left to go to audition.

I know she's going to do great.

"KYLIE, THE VOICE KIDS IS ON!" My brother screamed.

I ran down the hallway and jumped onto the living room couch without falling.

Okay, I tripped on the foot of the couch but who cares?

The first contestant was Katy. She took a deep breath and closed her eyes.

"Hello, it's me. I've been wondering if after all these years-"

Coach Sarah quickly pushed the button and Katy's parents screamed while we did too.

Katy smiled and continued to sing.

After the chorus, coach Lea also pushed the button, causing her to choose between both of the two coaches.

After she finished singing, she had to make a decision. Sarah or Lea?

"I think that this singer can help me with my singing, so I choose, coach Sarah." She smiled.

Sarah smiled and we all applauded her.

Katy's POV

I can't believe it. I actually passed! I feel so happy right now. I walked through the backstage and found a boy with a hoodie slowly clapping. Creepy

"Um, hi." I said to the figure.

He smiled and slowly removed his hoodie to reveal a boy, not much older than me.

"Hi. I'm Darren, and welcome to Team Sarah." He said.

"Thanks!" I gave a genuine smile. "Hey, you're the owner of the phone Kylie found."

Hmm, this must be the guy who Kylie likes. Did she admit that she liked him? No. But I can tell, it's a best friend thing.

"How do you know her?" He

"She's my best friend!" I laughed

He smiled back at me. "You did great."

"Awwwwh, hush!" I gushed. I liked compliments quite a lot.

"Can we take a picture? I need to to show Kylie."

He nods and I grab my phone and open Snapchat

I met your LOVERBOY! I wrote.

"Thanks!" I laughed.

He laughed too while we waited for Kylie to text back.

Kylie's POV

*hours later*

I logged onto Twitter and I saw #Karren everywhere. Did they post the picture on Facebook?

I couldn't force myself to smile that they were trending.

Katy's POV

"Hey can I head outside? It's hot in here." I said, fanning myself with a book.

"Oh yeah. Follow me."

We walked into a small room and entered a backyard filled with grass, a gigantic pool and a stall selling bathing suits.

"Wanna go swimming?" I said.

"Sure. I'm paying."

"No you aren't!" I insisted.

"Yes I am." I sighed.

I choose a black and white one piece. Darren chooses yellow swim shorts.

We both race each other to the pool but I get in it first. I've been swimming my whole life.

He laughed and I stuck my tongue out at him.

He splashed me in the face and I throw a rubber duck I randomly found in the middle of the pool at him, but unfortunately, it passed his neck.

He laughed at me and I splashed water in his mouth, causing him to have red eyes.

I laughed and he stuck his tongue out at me.

"I'm hungry. I'm gonna go get food for us okay?" I said.

"Okay."

I jumped out of the pool and looked for my purse in my bag, and bought some burgers and soda and sat down on the table near the pool.

"Um, Katy?" Darren says.

"Yeah?"

"I don't know what to get Kylie for her birthday." He shrugged.

"KyRren af." I blurted out.

"What?"

"Oh thats my ship name for you two." I chuckled.

He blushes and I laugh.

"She likes suprises, and she likes parties, plus she likes Spiderman."

"Hmmph."

I chuckle. "She's very special, hun."

He laughs and I bite my burger.

But hey, if you think I'm attracted to him, then you're wrong. He's my friend, she's my friend, I would never betray Ky!
