HUNTOR:
Through Brooklyn's mind I saw the girl spin, slash, swing those green daggers with a primal ease I had only known with one Indigo, let alone Indigo warrior. Then the giving sign. She stomped her foot and the soil trembled, keepers screamed as they fell. Then she swiped her foot across the soil and they fell inside, like the soil was water. I stood next to Brooklyn, watching with horrified interest as the Keepers tried to swim out of the soil, as they struggled. Then she swiped her foot again and a wave of soil was dumped over them, and they were gone. Then I felt myself being pushed back into my own mind. "She needs help," Brooklyn said. "You saw it too, that primal rage, that primal power. She's one of them Huntor." "I'm aware." I turned to look up at the Plateau. "Wenzi and Vera, call an emergency council. "What happened?" Faith asked. "We've got another one." I said. Wenzi jumped down and flew through the hall. "You coming Vera?" I asked. "No, I, I think I'll stay here." She said. I nodded, "Ok, Vera, you know it'll be ok." "Yeah sure. Fine." With that she walked away. "Many of us will carry those scars Huntor." Brooklyn said. "Faith, Wenzi, Alexandra, they have scars, Gale, Naiad, Camille Lorna, all of them carry battle scars, and you too." she muttered.
"You perhaps carry the most, along with Kitana." "Brooklyn." I sighed. "You're definitely getting the depressing part of being our Oracle." 'Look I'm sorry, it just feeels like things you need to hear." "Yeah, that everyone in this Symbol, all of us carry battle scars. Thanks but I figured that much out." When we walked into the Council Room, every Leader was there, from each Symbol. I made my way over and sat in my seat, Brooklyn slid into her own. "What kind is it Huntor?" Diamond asked. "The Indigo we've found is an Indigo-God. What, or whom her power comes from I'm not sure of yet, but—"YOu have an idea?" Ramya asked. 'Yes. Either way, we need to get to her before the sun rises." "Why sunrise?" Kitty asked. "What's so special about it?" "If I knew I'd tell you." I said. "But it is Brooklyn's skills that helped find her, she is being hunted, and we need to find her by sunrise." "Ok fine, who's going?" I felt a small twinge in my gut as I wanted to turn to Amala, turn to her, Seeka, Vello and Theia. But they were gone, returned to their own worlds to continue the fight to find the vampire master. "Kitana, Diana, and Brooklyn. These three will go, we need stealth, speed, and practically assassinations. With Kitana and Diana in play they can defend the Indigo in question, clear the area of Keepers quietly, and when said Indigo is found, help transport her back here." For once, there was no argument, no fights on who gets to go. I turned to them as they stood, side by side as always. "Get suited up, you leave within the hour. Remember, the both of you are essentially assassins, be smart, fast, and deadly, we leave no trace, and no bodies." "No problem." Kitana said. "We'll bring her back safe." Diana added. "Huntor." Brooklyn said. "Fine, this meeting is adjourned." The others rose and moved towards the doors. "Huntor, you know who this is don't you?" Brooklyn asked. "Don't speak her name, we don't know if the effects of her power have gotten to her or not. Names have power Brook, and if this is who I think, it's safer not saying it until she's here."
As the Leaders moved out, Kitana and Diana along with them, I took Brooklyn's hand. "Brook, come with me." I took her out of the room and down the hall. "Huntor," She paused, then continued, "I'm afraid of what's coming, all these Indigos coming here, all these Indigo-Gods, all these warriors, I'm afraid, afraid of what's coming." "I know Brook, I'm afraid too. But we both know I can't show it, I can't show that I am afraid or can be afraid. I have to be strong, for the Indigos, and for the country too." "You know that your faking death won't last?" She asked. "Yes, yes I know it won't last, they'll find out, one way or another, the Keepers will find out." Brooklyn sighed, then out of nowhere, she pulled me in and wrapped her arms around my neck so hard I gasped. "Brooklyn, what's—"Just, just let me stay here for a moment, just, just let, let, let me." She shuttered and said, "I'm sorry, I, I'm sorry, I just, I needed this." 'Well then," A female voice said from behind Brooklyn, making us both jump, "If you're finished needing, you can let him go." Audrey stood there, and I could feel the anger pulsating off of her. Brooklyn pulled away and I knew she was blushing hard. "Audrey, what—"One moment Huntor." She said sweetly. "Go Oracle I need to talk to our beloved Leader." Brooklyn stood her ground for a moment, but I put my hand on her shoulder, "Go Brook, let us talk." She walked away and Audrey stepped closer.
"Huntor." Audrey's voice was too sweet, too innocent, too gentle. "Audrey." I said, my voice equally so. "I wonder, how much, how often, you and I should have to go through this." "Go through what?" I asked. She stepped forward and said, "Huntor, I thought we talked about this." "About what?" I asked. "You and me, this." She gestured between us. "What we have between us. What we share—"Which is no more than sex Audrey. I told you that, plus that was over a month and a half ago." She lashed out with her palm. I caught the slap on my forearm. "Audrey." I said, warning in the word. "No listen, I'm tired, tired of you always all over everyone else. You, you playing every girl you see, letting them touch you, hug you, hump you. I'm sick of it all. What we have may not be love, bbut it's something, and we don't share it with anyone else. Not Amala, not Seeka, and especially not Brooklyn." "Excuse me Audrey." My voice was extremely cold. "But I'm able to share sex with anyone else I choose, I'm able to do as I please with anyone, have sex, touch, hump, or any damn thing." "No." Audrey said, "No, no you—"I stopped her with my hands on her hips, my face inches from her's. She gasped and an involuntary moan wormed out of her. "Huntor." "Audrey." I said. "Please." She said. "I want you, I need you." Just like that, the switch was flipped. Instead of anger, there was lust filling the air, encircling us both. I had to fight with the urge to just have her, have her right there. The scent of her, the feel of her hips in the snug jeans, her long hair in a tail. She turned her face up to mine,
"Please." She moaned. "Take me, tonight, tonight, take me." My hand curved up from her hip, sliding over the landscape of her belly, up the hills of her ribs, all covered by strong muscle, smooth skin, and silky fabric. She moaned as my hand found her right breast and squeezed. I felt her, through the braw, through the shirt, could almost feel her nipple harden, almost feel it beg for more. "Oh Audrey." I said as hunger filled me, hunger for her. She pushed against my palm, her breast rubbing against it in desperation. I gave it another, harder squeeze. She let out another moan, then pressed her hips against mine. I let go of her breast and let my hands fall down her back and over her butt. I never really noticed it, never had the idea of exploring it with my fingers. But as we stood here, alone, alone and together, hunger filling us both, I allowed my fingers to run over it, to feel the perfect roundness of it, to feel the muscle hidden within it's silken skin. "Squeeze me." She said huskily. "Squeeze me Huntor." I did, hard and slow. She moaned and rocked her hips against me, deepening my hunger, and causing me to want to take her, again, here and now. "Audrey, oh Audrey." I felt her now, could feel the heat from her, right over my own hunger, my own hardness. It was there, trapped, needing to find her silken wetness, needing to enter her. "IN me." She moaned, "I want you in me now. Or." She suddenly let me go, turned, and pressed her butt against me. She twisted her head and said, "Let me make you pleased, let me give you the same satisfaction you give me." She started rocking her hips, slowly grinding her butt against me. The feel of it, of her slowly pushing against me was so much that I grabbed her breasts, squeezing as hunger took us both. Then, pulling some dregs of sanity from deep within, I pulled away and righted Audrey. "Huntor." She complained. "Not here." I breathed i her hear. "Not now. Later, later I'll have you. Later we'll have each other, but now is not the time. Here isn't the place." She sighed and stepped away. "Fine, but, oh Huntor." Her voice was filled with lust, then she said, "Ok, later, yes, later." She walked away and I pulled myself together.
