HUNTOR:
When we came up to te twins, it was so unlike when we faced Khione. This time we were in the middle of a massive hurricane, waves, as large as buildings trying to crush us. Beasts from Poseidon knows where attacked from every wave, from the seas and the skies. Sharks, squid, octopi, all manner of beasts. I sensed something large jump from the water mere feet away and I let the need, the drive for survival take over and I swung my sword, effectively taking it's head off. I heard Alexandra's blast of sonic power, twin to the boiling thunder. But when we came upon them at long last, they were sitting side by side on a small boat, and the power, the sheer power that was emanating from them was almost as powerful as my own. I took a running start and landed on their boat, the whole thing shifting as Camille, Sarah, and Alexandra landed beside me. For a moment, everything was silent, for a moment, we all just stared at each other. The storm raged and boiled around us, but for a brief moment, everything was silent. Then, "You've come too late." They spoke in unison, their voices melding together as if they were singing. "It isn't too late." I said, taking a slow step forward. "What you've become, what you've allowed yourselves to be—" Lightning struck for me. I dove out of the way adn rose. "We do not feel as you. We rule the sea, the water is our birthright, our home, you entered out territory, you will pay." "Why use your power like this?"
"We were gifted by the storm goddess herself, our power is legend, second to none." 'You're wrong there." I thought. "We lived in horror, in pain, now, but now, now we rule, we are storm, we are seas, we'll rule together, we shall not be separated again." "Insanity." Alexandra said. They rose, and stepped forward, every move, ever gesture was in sync. "We are the Kimopoleia, we are the young of the great storm goddess, we are—"Two teens who talk to much." Alexandra said. "You don't have to do this." I said. "Join us, join the Indigo, we can give you a home, peace, family, love." They didn't speak, as if they were considering. "She said you would." They said. "She said you'd try to bribe us with useless things." "Family isn't useless, neither is a home or love." They said, "We don't care. We rage and storm, it is in our blood, in our desire, in our passion, it's what makes us what we are. It's how we are." Then, they attacked.
The storm raged a new, power that roared from them, so unlike anything I'd ever faced before. The boat shattered under the power of their thrust, sending us flying into the storm. I threw my power out, holding Sarah, Camille, and Alexandra to the surface, holding them so they didn't drown. Because I did that, I was the one who drowned. I gasped for breath as my body splashed into the water, and sank, beneath the surface. I held my power onto them, keeping them above water as I tried swimming up for the surface. Through telepathy, Sarah screamed, "UNDER YOU." I had no choice, I let go of them to fling my power downward, and saw the three large squid flying like torpedoes for my legs. I could almost hear the twins laughing from the surface, almost hear them guiding the squid right for me. I had no choice, instead of swimming for the coast,I was force to swim away from it, further out to sea.SARAH:
Air, that's what I felt, air and pouring water, and, then, and the soft landing as Huntor flung out his power like a net, flung it out to save us, but doom himself. Then that sense, that sense that told me he was in trouble. I had screamed in my head, not realizing it worked. "UNDER YOU." He heard, and was now swimming away, but toward ope ocean, where more of them were waiting.HUNTOR:
I swam as fast as my power would allow, feeling the squid hot on my trail. I felt them split off, one diving low, the other two splitting off to either side. They were going to herd me, actually herd me. I swore in my thoughts as I also realized something else, perhaps something that was even worse. "Shit, I needed air." I needed it, and they knew it. I arrowed for the surface and prayed to Poseidon that I could do what I had to. Pushing hard, I found myself blasting out of the water like a whale. Another splash told me one of the squid had jumped with me. I breathed, once, twice, thrice, then fell back into the water, the squid landing on top of me. I felt it's arms wrap around the armor I wore, felt it viciously pull me into it's death embrace. I felt it's beak poke hard at my chest, where the Indigo breast plate was. I blasted it with pure Indigoism, a concentrated blast directly for it's open beak.
The squid lit up like a light show. "And so light em up bastards." I thought as the squid died and fell to the bottom. I spun swiftly and found the other two squid right behind me. Oh of all the miserable damning luck. One lashed out with it's arms and I surged for the surface. The arms wrapped around empty water and I could almost hear the squid scream in outrage. I swam in an ark, first up, than out, trying to loose the two squid. I dove, then rose again, sensing them still on my tail, flying through the water. I swung around at the last second, slashing with a hydro blade. One squid, unable to stop or even see the sword coming, flew passed, and got it's mantle taken right off. "One more." I thought as I swam hard for the surface for air. Reaching the surface, I breathed, but sensed nothing, the third squid was nowhere to be seen. That worried me beyond anything else.sARAH:
Through the curtain of water, I saw Huntor reach the surface, then could almost see his face, his power searching for that final squid. Fear echoed in me, because the final squid was really nowhere to be found, I saw nothing, sensed nothin, nothing except, "HUNTOR." It was Camille who yelled it tis time, "THERE ARE FOUR GIANTS." Even over a hundred yards away I could've sworn I heard him cuss. Then he was gone, diving into the water. I scanned the water and saw the giant shadows, four, and at least sixty feet long. "Giant squid, squid of legends and nightmares." And Huntor was right in the middle of them. "This shall be entertaining." The twins said from their seat of a throne of water. "Stop this." I said. "Stop this madness." They ignored me. I saw one of the shadows pull away, surging for Huntor's tiny shape in the black water.HUNTOR:
Fear gutted me like a blade as I swam hard for the ocean floor, feeling the large, no, the huge squid on my tail. "Swim." Said a cool male voice in my head. "Swim Poseidon, swim, SWIM." I front-rolled my momentum carrying me as I felt the beast on me, felt it as it whipped out it's arms. Power sang as I threw a hydro shield around myself. I dug deep in the ocean of power, dug for that power, that power over water. I blasted water behind me, sending the gigantic beast flying off, but it merely swung it's massive body around, and was on my tail again. Than I felt a cool power caress me, caress as if guiding me. The cool caress became an icy tug, an icy tug I knew well. "Come here." Sarah's power encouraged. "Come here." I swam hard and fast for the surface.
