REINA:
It took almost two hour, almost two to grab our packs, leave no trace, and get to the new location in another part of Orlando. The female cop, Amelia, said, "This is one of our safe-houses typically used for victims, witness protection, you should and will be safe here." The house was a nice four story building with beautiful furniture, hard wood flooring, and chandeliers hanging from cords. Art hung along the walls and there were even a few sculptures standing guard. Warning bells at the house banged in my head, but Huntor Merely frowned and stepped deeper in the house. Sarah's eyes went wide when we arrived in the winding driveway and her mouth fell open at the pathway that lead to the door, a pathway that had little pebbles and rocks lining it on either side. Now she stared at one of the dangling chandeliers that flickered with light. "Beautiful." She said. "No reason a safe-house shouldn't be comfortable." Amelia said, as if reading my thoughts. "And we appreciate it very much." Huntor said. "We lost our old home, lost it to the Keepers and those damned police and government agents they used, they don't have the money for those weapons or the copters." He took a breath, "How many rooms?" "Five." She said. He walked towards her and said, "Thank you, thank you for all of it." As if she was the one who was lending her house. I resisted snorting at him. Amelia bowed her head, as if in the presence of royalty. She turned and walked towards the door, then paused, "I have to go back to the station, two Officers will remain here. I'm detective Amelia, the two staying are Officer Sullivan and Jacobs." Huntor thanked her and she left through the door, closing it behind her. "What the hell are you thinking?" I asked. Sarah's head swiveled to me so fast. Huntor raised his hands like, "What, I didn't do anything to you yet." "Coming here, presuming it's safe, this could be a trap, very much is one." Huntor smiled, "If that's the case then we'll have real fun destroying this house won't we?"
'This is a nice place." Sarah said. "Really realy nice." I frowned, but the door opened again and two males walked in. One looked like he was our age, the other was clearly in charge, "Officer Sullivan." Said the elder of the two. "My partner in crime Officer Jacobs." The boy, that's just what you had to call him, blushed deeply. "What devision are you if you don't mind me asking." Huntor said. "We were just transfered to SVU, Special Victim's Unit." "Wait what?" I cut in. "I thought that was a TV show." "It's as real as you or I." "Sullivan said. "Plus," Jacobs added, "we tend to deal more with serial rapists and stuff like that. We were in the general area when we got the call that Rogues were on the attack again. Detective Amelia was the one who ordered us to pursue them. We had them, but they threatened lives. Then Amelia and the Lieutenant from another devision got there." He paused as if just realizing he went too far, then his partner said, "Go ahead." "We, uh, well, we went in and the Rogues were making their claims, there wasn't anything we could do, but then you came in, Huntor." Huntor nodded, "You know, you guys aren't half bad, I like you. Hell, if you aren't apart of the Keepers then you're definitely ok, you aren't, you saved my ass in there, and are willing to put your lives at risk for us. I like you guys, and Amelia." "We appreciate that." Sullivan said. Jacobs nodded truthfully. He walked deeper into the house. The foyer was huge, a space of hardwood, deep brown, chandeliers, and a curving staircase turning up to the left, hugging the wall and circling the huge house. Huntor went through an archway that was sitting in the middle of the foyer, parallel to the front door. There was another door set in the archway and Sarah opened it to see a staircase going down. She closed it and followed Huntor into a massive living room. This room, open to the house, held giant windows that caught the fading sunlight, a huge fireplace sat parallel to the archway, large sofas, couches, and chair sat in the space with more paintings along the walls. To the left was another staircase that turned up to meet a circling level where rooms were situated. I padded up the steps and turning to the left, I went up another flight and could see the living room, see Sarah's blonde head, "How high up is this?" I asked. "Twenty feet." Jacobs said proudly. "The next flight is thirty, and the one after is forty." "Shit." Sarah said, "That's a lot." Jacobs nodded.
There was a light in the center of the ceiling high above. "This doesn't look so majestic from the outside." Sarah said. "It's not supposed to." Sullivan said. I walked through the indoor balcony that ringed the living room. Two huge bedrooms sat in the balcony's circumference, giving the house the square look we saw outside. Both room had their own baths and furniture. I followed the staircase that was set on the opposite side of the one I went up. This one had two rooms on it and like their counterparts, these were seated on either side of the circumference. The final landing had one room and most likely the largest of them all, housing two beds, and several rooms within it, probably closets and storage. I descended the steps and back to square one with the others. "The basement is amazing." Sarah said. "Beautiful in so many ways." "I'll take your word for it." I said. Sarah shrugged and walked into the kitchen with the others. "She'll be back to pull night duty." Sullivan was saying to Huntor. "She wants two men on the door at all times, three if she can get her Lieutenant to do spare more." "Who is?" Huntor asked. "Lieutenant Soleil." Jacobs said. Huntor smiled in thanks. That night we slept in the same room again, even though Sullivan tried to convince us it was safe to sleep freely, Huntor said, "Thanks Sullivan, really, but if we need each other, I'd rather us be right there. Thank you though, for ensuring our safety and being here." Sullivan shook his hand and Huntor squeezed Jacobs's shoulder.
