HUNTOR:
For someone who questioned the safety and surety of the cops, Reina was the first to fall asleep, Sarah not to far behind. I laid in the stood by the window though, even after the sun fell. I stood there because I was unwilling to sleep in the bed Reina and Sarah shared, even if there was enough room, which there was, but I still would've felt uneasy. I didn't blame Sarah for what happened, she lost control of herself do to whatever Khione put her through. But Reina, Reina's reaction was worse than I had expected, and even after that, even after that she came to the rescue, answering Sarah's call for help, my call for help. I turned from the window and walked towards the door, opening it, I heard voices from the foyer. I stilled, then recognized amelia's voice. I closed the door silently and padded on cat's feet to the staircase and down it. Amelia had her back to me and was in the archway, talking to another woman. "Doesn't believe it's necessary." The other was saying. "Amelia swore viciously and said, "Why, why just for once can't she listen to me? I've worked under her for years. What the hell is she playing at." I heard a british accent under those words. Interesting, so the Detective came from Europe, or is European. "I'm sorry Amelia." "It's fine Rebecca." She said. "We'll just have to work with it. I swear I'm gonna report her." "What?" Rebecca sounded horrified. "If, but Amelia, she's, she's—"I know she's dangerous, but she needs to be stopped." I frowned, a dangerous Lieutenant, what, was she a crooked cop? I walked down the three remaining steps and said, "You mean Lieutenant Soleil." Rebecca made a small shriek of surprise, Amelia spun toward me, no doubt her hand going to her gun. "Oh, Huntor, it's you. I never heard you come out." "Trust me, I know how to remain silent." "In a sense, that's a good thing."
"What's wrong?" I asked. "Nothing." Rebecca said quickly. "It's fine, we can trust him." Amelia walked over and sat on a table, "Oh God. It's a long story." 'Lucky for you I like stories. Hell my life is a story." Amelia lughed softly, then said, "When I came here five years ago from England, I was determined to become a cop. I needed to be because I lost my family back there. When I did, I said I'm changing, I'm going to save lives, save victims. There were two devisions I wanted to choose, homicide, and this, SVU. When I looked into homicide, I said no because they can't save lives, the lives are already lost, they can only ensure the next is safe, get justice for the ones before. Special Victims is a hard squad, not many can do it. But I was determined to make the cut. I did, and stayed here. Under Lieutenant Soleil, well, it was hard but doable. The other devisions we've worked with say she's a bitch and cruel to everyone but her own boss, even to her own squad. But I've never seen that." "Because she's afraid of you." Rebecca said. "Because you find something and sink your fangs in without letting go. You see it through." "Maybe." Amelia said. "She hasn't done anything that bad to me, but I have every intent on reporting her. I have enough to get her fired, I want her locked away, but, I'll take what I can get." Rebecca said. "In all honesty, I'm scared for you." "Why?" I asked. "Because she's dangerous, I don't know if it's true, but rumor has it she's killed cops who got in her way. It's looked like they fell doing their job, but, but rumor has it she's behind it." "So she's a toxic bitch." I stated. "To sum it up, yes." Rebecca said. I turned to Amelia,
"I won't judge you, I like you, a lot, and plus you have an intoxicating accent. I love it a lot." Rebecca snorted. 'i've never heard that before." Amelia said. "Thank you very much Huntor." "But if she's a crooked cop, then take her down Amelia." I said. "From my point of view, you're the only one who has the guts and brains to do it." "How?" Rebecca asked. "She knows everything, I swear, I wouldn't be surprised if she had us under watch." "Then do what you can, when you can." I said. "No matter what, if she's a wrong cop, a crooked one, she needs to go down, but if she's a killer too, then she deserves to be behind bars." amelia stepped toward me, then wrapped me in a hug. Her body shook and I realized she was silently sobbing. I rubbed her back soothingly, letting her be held. Her gold brown hair tickled my cheek as I rocked a little. Then she pulled away. "I can't, I can't take her down like that unless I'm absolutely certain she's a killer. I have to be certain, she's my boss in the end, she, she's my Lieutenant." I nodded. "If my students tried to get rid of me, I'd do anything to keep my leadership. But I'm not an Indigo killer, the Rogues are, because they are, they aren't true Indigo. Your boss, and I believe Rebecca, is a killer, wrong cop, and just a straight bitch." "Thank you." She said. "And call me Becky." I nodded at her. "Fine. I'll look into it, check it out, but I'm doing it all by the books, everything. God, oh God." She took a deep breath and put her hands over her face, "This is going to be a huge mess."
She took another breath and said, "Becky, get a text out to sullivan and Jacobs, they'll be in bed but they'll see it tomorrrow. Tell them to meet me in Starbucks. I will explain this to them and—"They already know everything, the whole squad does. It's just you." "Then why wasn't I involved?" "Because she's afraid of you. We couldn't exactly tell you, then somehow she'd find out. She has bugs and spies everywhere." Amelia sighed. "Yeah, yeah you're right. Fine, then we'll meet there and start planning then." Becky stepped away and pulled out her phone. "Huntor, I've been in this squad for a good time, I know the men here, I know the people, but I also know the victims too. You, you and I both do." I nodded. "If this goes down—"When." Becky called. "When this goes down, will you be apart of it? Help me take her down. Who knows how many cops and innocence she took away because she saw fit. For all I know she killed kids, college students, shit, shit for all I know she's apart of the Keepers." Amelia turned, turned back, turned away again. "How did I not see this, how did I never know. I pride myself on being a police woman, a good one, not perfect but good. Now, now I find that my boss, my boss is some twisted cop." "You looked up to her." I stated. "You idolized her." "Yes." Amelia breathed. "We'll do it." I said. "We'll help you, and when the time comes, you take her down." She stepped toward me, staring at me. "You mean that?" "I do." i said. She leaned forward and pressed her lips to mine. It was a brief kiss, and I knew it was one of thanks and closing of a deal. She turned and I leaned against thee banister.
