Huntor:
I woke up to someone's hand on my face. Reina's face was few inches away, and I had no doubt she was smiling. "You drool in your sleep." "To barrow a phrase, kiss my ass." She snorted softly and puled away. "I didn't say I didn't like watching you sleep." "You know, some humans would find that creepy." "Glad we aren't completely human then huh?" I ignored her and went to the bathroom to clean up. When I was done, Brooklyn had the TV on and was siting Indian style on the floor with a plate of pancakes. "Woah, any left?" I asked. Brooklyn waved vaguely to the table by the window. I walked over and began stacking pancakes. "Jesus Huntor, how many do you need?" Alexandra asked. "As many that will fill me." I said. 'And the sirup?" Reina asked. "You're going to drown them in sweetness." "To barrow a phrase from one of my favorite books as Percy Jackson says, I'm the son of Poseidon, I don't drown, and neither do my pancakes." "Son of Poseidon my ass." Reina said. I ignored her and began eating the five pancakes I had. "Where does he store all of that?" Alexandra asked. "He's so thin." "When you've lived with him, you learn to stop asking." Wenzi said. "Guys." Brooklyn said. "I think there's something wrong with the weather." "What?" Sarah asked from her perch on a chair. "The weather, it says there's going to be storms today, tomorrow, but more, they are saying here's a hurricane of biblical strength. They say thewinds are gonna be over two hundred miles per hour." I frowned, "That's possible, I mean, it's deadly, but still possible." "But the ocean patterns, the way they're describing it, it sounds like, like, like—"Like Indigos are behind it?" I asked. "Yes." She said. Suddenly, the leader in me was awakened, "Brooklyn, do you have any idea just whom it could be? Any clue? Did the Oracle give you any hint, any prophecy?" "No, not recently anyway, the only thing is, is." She stopped, then, "Almost a year ago it gave me a vision, a vision about the ocean, but, God I don't remember it now."
brooklyn sat there, rocking slightly, then swore viciously in Spanish. "No, no I don't remember." She slid back into Spanish. "What do you at least suspect?" Camille asked gently. "I think, think there's two, one boy one girl. They, they have, have an ancient old goddess's power, a forgotten Goddess, I, I think." "I know who it is." I said. "So do I." Phoebe said. We both said, "Kimopoleia." Brooklyn's head snapped up, "That's it, they're Kimopoleia twins." "With that kind of power they have to be invincible." Alexandra said. "Perhaps, but with all of us together we can bring them down." "Are we fighting them?" Vera asked."I thought they were the good guys." "They might be." I said. "But they might also be in the same situation Sarah was. Their bodies controlled by a not so friendly Goddess." I thought, then said, "We'll have to face them, but we'll detain them. Any guess where they are from?" "I'm not sure, no one can say where the storm originated from." Brooklyn said.
"Where's Audrey?" Alexandra asked as we stood on the beach, three miles from the hotel we were staying in. "Who knows?" Vera said. "It doesn't matter." I said. "What does is we have to be ready for their arrival." "Are you sure it's two?" Phoebe asked. I nodded. "Two, and they are extremely powerful, so much that we have to be at our strongest just to detain them. That's not counting the hordes of Keepers we'll face at our backs." Camille swore. "So not only will we be facing these two, trying to detain them, but we'll be fighting Keepers too." "That's why you all are here, to protect our backs as Sarah and I head out to sea." "What?" It wasn't just Reina who asked it harshly. "I need you all here to keep the Keepers occupied, keep their attention here so Sarah and I can find them, and stop them before lives are lost." "Hell no." Camille said. "We're with you Huntor." "Guys." I sad. "We can't argue about this. I need you guys here, need you to protect our asses, stop the Keepers. Hold them here." "Hell no." Rina said. "You aren't going out there, not just thee both of you." "I'll go with you." Camille said. "And there's no arguing." "Camille." I said. "She's right." Reina said. "Take her and Alexandra."KENDRA:
Thre days, three days locked in the darkness, three days with the ice cold thing around my neck, my wrists, my ankles, my forehead. Three days with no sound but the medley of screams and moans from the others in the cell block with me. Every day more and more Indigos, Indigo supporters, and others were brought in and locked away to whatever end. In me, a void grew, in my heart and head a void of emptiness lived. I refused the hopelessness, the sadness and loss that came with it. Refused to join in the chorus of moans and screams. I was stronger than the void, I was stronger than the sheer power the chains had over me. I was stronger. I remembered Kitana, remembered our firs night together. Remembered how she was always there for me, how she protected me so fiercely, how that first time, the first time we laid in bed together she made me feel so much. Her tongue in between my legs, her fingers over my breasts, her tasting my desire, enjoying it. Kitana, the wolf who made me her lover, who made me her mate. Kitana, who defended me, loved me, protected me. Now i had to protect myself, prove myself. I would prove myself. My chains clinked as I shifted around.
The huge iron doors opened, spilling in light and a dozen shadows. Those shadows split off, dragging in their prey. I saw a woman and girl pass my cage, saw the two Keepers throw them in the cage next to mine. They didn't speak, didn't scream as the others did. The others were tossed in cells across from my own. Because of the things holding me hostage, blocking my power, couldn't use my Indigoism to see the woman and girl, use my telepathy to sense their minds, but i could use my echo location. Could see with the sounds the others made, see the girl leaning against the cage bars next to me, see the woman, her back straight, facing the door. A servant boy walked in behind them, pushing a cart. He stopped by my door and sat a tin of water, toast, cheese, and two slices of ham. "Thank you." I said from my spot in the shadows. The servant boy stiffened as if hit by lightning, then pushed his cart to the next cel. When the doors crashed shut, I ate the food adn sniffed the water. "Do they drug the water?" The girls sounded harsh, tough, as if he was raised just for war. "I'm Hailey." She said. "This is my mother Detective Amelia." "Amelia, just, just Amelia." "Pleasure." I said. "Why do they have this place?" Hailey asked. "I honestly don't know. I've only been here a few days, I suspect it's to break Indigos and Indigo supporters." "You're one too?" "Hailey asked. I nodded. "I'm Kendra, one of Huntor's Indigo-Warriors." "Huntor." It was Amelia who said it, who spoke his name as if she knew him.
