HUNTOR:
Well that was great, just great. Seeka signals there's danger, then the spider, oh sorry, Ragni Di Morte appear and I have to use my little hand of cards wisely and stall for time till Vello and Theia got here. All fine and dandy. Then, come to find out help arrives just before it's too late. Kitana and Diana, the former in her werewolf form, the ladder in her horse form, then wolf, fight along side us. Then, come to find out the supposed Dark Queen sent them as a feeler, to see just what is here, how strong we are, if we could kill these things without the help of the Drac'on, which are, by the way, their immortal enemies. So, all in all, a very interesting morning. Oh, and I almost forgot, Kitana and I are now legends it seems, because no one can kill these things. No one, except for the three Drac'ons standing before us, no one, unless it's their kind, or Amala. Says enough about me. But Kitana gets the special Italian name, "Uccisore Della Morte." Slayer of death. Should've been slayer of death, made it more heroic, but whatever. Then, if you thought about it, it actually made sense. Because Kitana was death incarnate, she was Thanatos's daughter, had his power. It made sense that she'd be the death slayer, Uccisore Della Morte, slayer, of, death. I crossed my blood soaked arms as more of my Generals came forward.Kendra, Shawn, Sarah and Reina. "What the hell?" Sarah said, I wasn't sure if I ever heard the girl curse before, perhaps, but it had to be rare. I explained it to them, everything they missed. Reina shook her head. "Why is it everything happens whenever you're around?" She asked. "That's a damn good question." Sarah said. "Seriously." "I've asked myself the question for over a year." I said, completely lying.
"So?" Sarah asked. "You've killed eight Ragni, Rag-ni, Rah-ni, Di, Mor, Mor-te. Wait, I'm going to get this. Rah-ni, Di, Mor-tay. Right, yeah right. Rah-ni Di Mor-tay. Rah-ni Di Mor-tay. Ok, I think, I got it, Ragni Di Morte." I actually laughed, hard at Sarah, trust her to have to spell it out, sound it out, do whatever she needed to get it right. "Killed them," She continued. "Became legends, and now what?" I smiled. "I might be able to answer that." Shawn said. "Where?" I merely asked. ""Johns Hopkins hospital." And of course, the planning begins. I ran back to the tents with the others, planning all the way. "Kitana, I want you, Diana, Kendra, Joy and Luna in there. They aren't freeing Indigos, they aren't doing anything but killing. Don't just get them out, destroy that place, if there aren't any left, then destroy it anyways." Kitana snarled and streaked off with her sister and lover. "Shawn, I want you to keep working, find more places they are attacking, that hospital can't be the only one. Find more, and send my Generals there with a small team, our power is growing, we have to start this war now, battle our way across the country." "Bad lands." I thought. "This country is about to become bad lands." "Right." Shawn hurried off. "What do we do?" Sarah asked. "We go and finish this prophecy, hopefully in time to fight in this war." But first, I needed a shower. I nearly jumped down the ladder instead of sliding. I hurried to a pool and took the fastest washing in my life. Reina and Sarah both joined me, none of us even seeing what the others looked like naked, or caring. I pulled myself out and said, "We go to D.C. we go into our enemy's territory there, I know how and where, I think I know what it is we need to find." "What?" Sarah asked. "OUr people's history." I said. "Where?" Reina asked. "Under the White-House."
"Isn't that where Trump's family lives?" Sarah asked as we armed ourselves. "Yes." I said. "Technically they do, however most of the time they live in the towers." "Would be nice if the Keepers took that out." Reina muttered. "I'm glad we all have mutual feelings toward our president." I said. They laughed. We hurried out of the chamber and out toward Seeka, Vello, and Theia, who would remain, just in case the Dark Queen sent any more of her supposed Lieutenant army. "Be safe." Seeka said, embracing me hard. Vello and I embraced, harder than usual. Theia kissed my cheek. "Dio Indaco." She said. "What?" I asked. "Come find us after this war." She said. "You're the Dio Indaco. The Indigo God. Leader of your people. Most powerful Indigo of your world." "Great, I'm going into sudden danger, and now you give me my legendary name?" "Exactly." She said. Giving me another kiss, then taking flight. I turned to Sarah and Reina, "Ready?" "Let's finished this fucking deal." Sarah said. "Ok, you gotta stop." Reina and I said at the same time. "Cursing is just not you." We continued. Then, "Hey, shut up." We all laughed, possibly, the last time we would for a while. I took their hands, but before we could vanish, Shawn said, "HUNTOR." i sighed. "Someone kill me." I muttered. "I'm getting my name changed." I said. Shawn said, as he reached us, "There are other attacks already in progress. What—"Wake any of the others, Camille, Lorna, Diamond, Kitty Ramya, Brooklyn, I want two of them at each attack, we may not be able to save them all, but we can damn sure stop this, will damn sure stop them from just killing." Shawn squeezed my shoulder. I looked at Reina and Sarah, best I could, and said, "Ok, now, we go." Before anyone else could shout my name, for, whatever damn reason, we vanished into a portal.KITANA:
As we readied ourselves for battle those words replayed over, and over, and over, and, over in my head. Uccisore Della Morte, Uccisore Della Morte, Uccisore, Della, Morte. Slayer of death, slayer of death, slayer, slayer, slayer of death. I grabbed hands as we opened a portal, and fell into chaos. Uccisore Della Morte,, Uccisore Della Morte, Uccisore, Della ana Morte, I unleashed a battle cry as we burst through hospital sliding doors. Keepers dressed in their black shot guns, dart guns for us. Uccisore, Della, Morte, Diana shifted in mid air, changing into a wolf, her favorite form. Joy and Luna shot blasts of their rainbow power, shooting blasts of golds and reds. I opened my fans and spun through mid air, bringing one down to meet a keeper's head. My foot connected with his face and his head snapped back, neck cracking. Daughter of death. Thanatos's daughter. I was his daughter, blessed, or cursed, by death, and yet, and, yet. The shadows, the shadows. I remembered saving Brooklyn, remembered Thanatos's soft soothing voice, remembered the pride he'd felt. Slayer of death, slayer of death, slayer, of, death. I was the daughter of death, and, Uccisore Della Morte, slayer, of death. I landed and spun to meet the attack of another. "GO." Kendra vanished, but she wasn't invisible, no, I could smell her, feel her, sense her as she ran through the hospital. I kicked and sent a Keeper flying.
Three Keepers shot their guns at my face, I ducked and rolled, sweeping out my leg. One jumped, and was met with a Katana blade at his throat. Too late, he tried backing away, but was already dead. I flipped the sword, and put my other fan away. I slashed up and kicked. Another dead. Destroy them, destroy them all. Joy rolled through mid air, smiling broadly as she blasted a basketball size orb orb of blue-purple energy, freezing Keepers. She bellowed, "FREEZE SUCKERS." Trust Joy to make a humiliating joke out of it. Trust Joy to make light of it all, to actually find enjoyment out of it. Behind her, Luna shot out red bursts of power, sending the Keepers to their final resting place as they exploded. Diana closed her jaws over a Keeper's neck, and gutted her. I spun and lashed out with a roundhouse kick. A Keeper tried backing away, but was too slow. My kick knocked him down, and I brought my blade over his head. I rolled through the air, darts firing for me. I landed on one end of the entry hall, behind a long counter, where the dead were, doctors, nurses, orderlies, interns, they all lay here, all lay dead, countless numbers of them. The wolf in me howled her rage, innocence, these people were nothing more or less than innocence. They didn't deserve this as their end. They didn't deserve death as their downfall. Especially not like this, no, because some looked like they were being tortured. Too late, even with Shawn's warning, we'd been too late to save them, and, and I was sure that Ken wouldn't find any Indigos alive up there. No, no, because these Keepers weren't trying to break in, they were about to leave. I threw my head back as the realization hit me, threw my head back, and howled, feeling the shift take hold. Diana echoed me, as if she too realized it.
I jumped over the counter, and laid waste to the Keepers, Joy, Luna, and I working together, Joy blasting them with that freezing power, Luna and I dispatching them like stalks of wheat, like they were no more than dirt, because that's what we were to them. We were nothing but dirt and filth. We were abhorrent, grunge. We were nothing, now, now they were nothing. I spun and felt claws sink into flesh and muscle, felt bones snap as I tore the woman open. She screamed, but Luna blasted her with that red energy and she exploded into ashes. "Nice one." I said in a snarl. Luna nodded. "Back at you Uccisore." Uccisore. I ignored it as I kept killing, and killing, and, killing, and, killing. When they laid dead, in ashes, or bits of frozen flesh and bone, Kendra appeared, appeared, and shook her head. We'd been too late, too late to save them, these Keepers were leaving the hospital, not breaking in I knew that, knew that, knew, but it still hurt. But Kendra didn't apologize. No, because we all knew it was war. Lives would be saved, and taken, there were other places, other Indigos to save. Other lives to rescue.
