HUNTOR:
I stepped forward and allowed my weight to take me to the floor, allowed the device I was holding to slide from my fingers and skid over to Amelia. Then the world moved fast, Sullivan and the woman, Ming, moved to flank Amelia, I stood and Becky was next to me. Bullets were fired, but I had already put a telekinetic shield between us and the other cops. Amelia and the others were already gone. "this changes nothing." Soleil said as they closed the doors. "Oh I'm certain it does, I'm certain it changes everything." I said cheerfully, then asked, "Who highered you?" Soleil paused, and I could feel the confusion, taste the greed like green filth. "Who, highered, you?" I asked stepping closer. "I can tell if you're lying to me, don't even try it." A cop pulled the trigger behind me and the bullet hit my telekinetic wall. "Better tell your trigger happy cops to lower their weapons, or Becky will get the chance she's been waiting for and will get to drill her bullets through your head." I didn't need vision to see Becky grinning wickedly at Soleil. 'You wouldn't dare, you need this job Bitch, you." Becky pulled her own trigger and I waited till the last second to snap a shield of telekinesis in front of Soleil's forehead. The bullet still left a red mark against her skin though. "Next time." Becky said, "I won't miss. And he won't stop me." "Fuck you both." "I don't think so, you are way too old for me and not my type." I said. Becky said, "I'm not even gonna dane to reply to that." Soleil raised her gun, 'You can try." I said, 'But your bullet won't even leave the barrel. "Who highered you Soleil." I said again. She snorted, "Like you'll get that answer from me." 'You already spoke of the Keepers so I highly doubt it's them, but I wonder, was it the Rogues? Did they give you some kind of offer?" the taste of greed rose at the mention of the Rogues. "Interesting." I said. "You'll never find out." She said, "Never see anything." "Got me there doesn't she?" I asked Becky. "Can't really see to save his life." Becky commented.
I sighed, as if resigned. "What do you think Becky? Did we give our Detective enough time/" "I think she's had more than enough time, I'm sure she's in the garage now." "Good." "What the hell are you talking about?" Soleil asked. "None of you are going anywhere." 'Oh, we are, but the biggest deal was distracting you. Which was super easy, I swear, every vilain, gifted or not, just loves to talk, and talk, and talk." "Got that right." Becky commented. "What are you talking about?" "When I fell, I dropped my little recording device remember? I sent it right over to Amelia, which was why she ran out of here like a hurricane, and why I ripped your cops guns out of their hands. then when she was gone, I returned them and played your game." "What?" Soleil's voice was filled with fear now. "I'm sure Captain heard everything and is even now, working on sending her toughest cops down here to take you out." "No." Soleil said. "I'm sure they'll have a nice cell ready for you. Nice and icy cold." Becky said cheerfully.
The cops by the door shifted uncomfortably. "Oh, let's not forget them either." I said. "You guys will have your own cages to enjoy." They opened fire on me and Becky, shooting till their guns clicked uselessly. "Now." I said. "That wasn't nice at all." I turned to Soleil, "I don't have any say in what you do now, but I can say this, you're deep in lava now. You can come quietly, or Becky and I bring you in." Soleil lowered her gun, then threw it at my face. Instead of using my telekinesis, I caught it with my left hand. I tossed it up in the air, caught it, then tossed it again. "Becky, take care of that will you?" I asked. "Hell yes." Becky smiled at her boss, "I'm so gonna fucking enjoy this." Two cops stepped forward, "Oh please, make my day, come at me." I said. One ran from the side wall and tried tackling me. I threw my boney hip out and he budded heads with bone. I felt rather than heard the crack as he was knocked out. Only a dull pain lingered. Then, smiling, I touched the headband on my forehead, and was clad in my Indigo suit. "Let's play." I said. Then attacked.
Power sung through my blood, battle-lust rocked it's own music in my heart. I lashed out with one elbow, kicked, spun, head-budded, then back rolled. I felt good, felt ready, felt empowered. I rolled over a downed cop's leg, and lashed out with a vicious baack kick to said cop's leg. She screamed as it broke. I heard Becky and Soleil fighting and heard Becky's crazed laughter, "Come on Soleil, come on Bitch. You wanted to go at me for over a year and a half, now you got your chance." Soleil screamed and I ducked a fist, returned with a jab. I lashed out with a kick and took a swinging elbow on my left bracer. I heard the song as a knife was pulled from it's sheath. Smiling, I rolled over the driving blade and released my own bracer-knives, letting them glow light a shark's fins. "Now we're talking." I said as two cops with knives came for me. I caught one blade on my left bracer and drove a kick into his stomach. The cop fell, but his friend replaced him.
Becky screamed as Soleil got in a lucky shot, I rolled and made a tiger sweep to take two cops down. The Division doors banged as someone tried to open them. soleil shouted, "GARD THOSE DOORS." Three cops rose and ran to stand in front of the doors. "It's over Soleil." I shouted. "You're finished." 'it ain't over till the fat lady sings." Soleil replied. Well, wasn't that the innuendo of the day. "EAT CROW BITCH." Becky let out a double kick and sweeped her leg in a tiger sweep. Soleil stumbled, then fell. The doors open with a blast and took out all three of the cops standing guard. Reina stood there, her hair swaying in a phantom breeze. "Figured you might need help." She tossed soil into the air and it grew exponentially. She let out a vicious battle cry as it swept over the Division room, incasing every cop except Becky. More cops piled in, cuffing the traders. "Reina." I smiled, showing my teeth. She stepped over the downed cops and pulled me into a hard hug. Then, she pulled away, and slapped me across the face. "You deserved a bitch slap for leaving me behind without any updates." "Ouch, damn that hurt." She laughed, then yanked my head down, and kissed me hard. Shutting me up fast, and shocking me. Her lips were soft and smooth, her tongue long and thin as it punched through my lips, seeking my own. She pulled away and said, "Never do that again." she pushed me away as more cops came in and began to drag the crooked ones away.
Someone wolf-whistled and I ignored them. "Thanks for the rescue Rey, I won't lie, you have perfect timing." She touched my face, like a lover would, "Why thank you." She said, then turned away. "Detective Becky." A woman walked in. "Captain." "I have to see to this, question these traders and get all I can." 'ma'am, no disrespect, but I feel it is the need that I question the wrong cops since Detective Amelia cannot be present." "And that's why I put you and her together." the Captain walked towards Becky, "But let me handle it from here, you have work to do." She held out papers. "Get to the hospital, and give these papers to Detective Amelia. Jenny will accompany you." "CPS? Becky asked. Then she realized something. "Hailey Spinner." "Indeed, tell, Detective Amelia spinner, congratulations from me will you?" "I, yes Ma'am. I will." "Also, she can have the safe-house for her own, tell her it's a thank you from the whole of our House, and from the city of Orlando." "Oh she'll love that." Becky said. Then the Captain turned to me.
"I want to personally thank you Huntor, for everything you've done since arriving in Florida. Thank you for battling the Rogues and saving my cops here. For stickign with them even when you surely hated cops because of the Keepers in the Northern states. In your states. If there's anything we can do, anything, please, let us know." "There is something." I said. "But it'll go against everything you know as cops, as holders of the law." "Anything." so, I told her my plan. After, I had my own argument with Reina. "I should be there with you, you have no idea what it's like on the sidelines, waiting for answers." Never mind that I knew exactly what that was like. "Rey, you did your part, you came in our time of need, I'm grateful for that, but I need you back at the safe-house because there, we'll plan for part two." "What's part two?" She asked. 'You'll see." "So fucking mysterious." She muttered, then said, "Fine, but you owe me, big time." "Whatever you want." I said. Reina turned and walked toward Jacobs's car. O The way to the hospital I explained everything to Becky. The twenty-four plains, the Drac'ons, the werewolves, vampires, Higher-Beings. "Jesus, damn so there's an actual force out there huh? How does that work? Do they all have to fight for control of the universe, or do they all control different parts?" I shrugged, "No damn idea. Personally and honestly, I don't wanna know." "You're right. Hell, it sounds like a serious headache." I laughed. We made it to the hospital and Becky made her big entrance and I kept my cold detached demeanor until I faced the two Rogues. I knew, knew that they couldn't be allowed to live, that so long as they did, they would keep escaping, keep breaking laws and ruining lives. I gave Sarah my ok and she froze and shattered them. After that, I took Sarah's hand and lead her to Becky's car and we drove back to the safe-house.
