I leaned against the wall, waiting for him to arrive. The minutes ticked by and students passed by, chattering about how they were going to spend their weekend.
How long was he going to make me wait?
"Hey, Ethan. Sorry for making you wait, this girl from the track team was begging for my attention."
"You're going to catch an STD at this rate," I huffed.
He rolled his eyes, "I always use a condom. You don't have to worry."
"Yeah yeah, Let's hit the road Jack."
"You going to say that every time we walk home together?"
I smiled, "correct!"
Jack chuckled and we started to walk, leaving the school. Even if he left me to wait, he still made sure to walk with me.
"So, you get a girlfriend yet?" Jack asked.
I shake my head, "Nope. No one is interesting enough."
"You need to get out there man," he tsked, "maybe have a casual hookup."
"I'm good."
"Shame, guess you're stuck hanging out with me."
With a laugh, I smiled, "I'm okay with that for now." The path we took was silent as ever, the two of us singing songs as we walked.
In no time at all we reached our two houses.
"My parent's Aren't home, you want to hang out?" I asked, hiking my bag upon my arm.
"Of course!" Jack followed me into my house and we dropped off our bags at the door and kicked off our shoes, heading upstairs to my room.
I flopped on one of the bean bag chairs in my room and Jack sat on the other, the two of us immediately grabbing the game controls I set in front of the chairs.
"Any new games?" Jack asked as I turned on the gaming system.
"Nothing yet. We can continue Lustrous Power if you want though?" I offered.
"Fine by me." I plopped the game in and quickly picked the last save file, our characters popping up. My character was named Robin, and his was Matt.
"Where were we?" I hummed.
"We just beat a boss and we need to go into the next cutscene. They were fighting last cut scene," jack reminded.
"The cutscenes are so long. At least they're entertaining," I hummed. The two of us moved into the next room, the cut scene kicking in.
"Robin, you could've gotten yourself killed?"
"Would you have even cared?"
"Of course I would!"
"I thought you said it would be better off if we never met?"
"I don't want you dead! Besides, you missed-"
"What did you mean then?" Robin hissed, "Why do you wish we never met? We've come all this way, might as well tell me when death is around the corner!"
"Don't say that, we're almost out of here."
"You really trusting the guy that put us here?"
"Fine, maybe my actions will speak louder than words?"
"What the h-" Matt rushed forward, pushing Robin against the wall, using one hand to pin Robin's wrists down, using the other to grab Robin's face.
