Life had...

Settled.

My mom got remarried to this wonderful man and Jack and the kids and I moved into a new home with everything I wanted, and I later found out that was because Jack had the house built.

My brother was in jail, but he wasn't given a death sentence and I took Lily and Mark to see him sometime.

Tyler only seemed to get closer to the family and especially to Mark. I was able to see the blushes they'd both hide when talking to each other.

Heather had twins! One being mine and one being Jack's.

We named them Robin, which was my dad's name, and Heather, after her biological mother and godmother.

They looked like the spitting image of Jack and I.

Winter came around after awhile, and Jack and Winter made up.

She spent a lot of time taking Lily to Ballet when jack and I couldn't.

I kept up with my career, as did Jack, and we only seemed to get more popular.

It was, peaceful.

After a life of suffering in one way or another, everything was peaceful.

I lifted my hand, looking at the rings that sat in my finger, my eyes catching a red glint on my pinkie, seeing a thin red line, two, leaving my hand and leading towards Jack, who was asleep with Mark and Lily, having tired themselves out.

The other, I assumed, led to Dan.

I looked at Lily's hand. Seeing she had a string that led out the window to who knows where, and Mark had a string which I was sure led to Tyler.

Then, in a flash, the strings vanished.

For the best. No stupid string decided our fate, our hearts did.
