"Tao. He became upset, though I'm not sure why." Kris replied, frowning. "Now he won't talk. Trust me, I tried."
Sehun looked to Tao, who scribbled down stuff in his notebook. Baekhyun skipped to the Chinese maknae and sat next to him, throwing his famous cheeky smile. But Tao gave him such a cold look Baekhyun squeaked and ran off to Chanyeol, jumping onto the giant's lap. Tao turned back to his notebook, pen rubbing over the paper. Everyone felt Tao's negative energy- Chen slowly lets go of Xiumin's hand and Luhan gave a grumble as he frowned over his laptop.
Maknae to the rescue.
Sehun casually walked over and sat next to Tao. The other boy didn't look up, but his shoulder did twitch. Sehun took the hand that was balancing the notepad and laced their fingers as he brought it up and kissed the back. Tao watched with confused eyes, but when sehun gave a small smile Tao smiled back. He leaned his head on Sehun's shoulder, nuzzling him slightly.
Then he started to cry. Quietly. Tears slipped down his cheeks as he sobbed quietly. Sehun wrapped his arm around Tao, pressing his lips against Tao's temple.
"What's wrong?" Sehun whispered, concern painting his tone.
"I d-don't want-t to l-l-leave for Chi-ina." Tao hiccuped. "I-I'm t-tired."
Luhan gave a deep sigh and abandoned his laptop, leaning his head back. "You can say that again."
Suho gently traced the dark bags under Kris's eyes. Kris quickly grabbed his hand and kissed his fingers, but it didn't completely wash away Suho's worries. Chen took Xiumin's hand again, murmuring to him quietly. Lay... well, he was already asleep on the couch, snoring ever so slightly.
Sehun gave a sigh and stood, pulling Tao along.
"Where-"
"We'll be back soon," Sehun said quickly. "Come on Tao, put on your boots..."
Only ten minutes later, Tao was squealing and laughing happily at the dog cafe.
"This one! No this one! No, no, ALL OF THEM!" He squealed as a tiny white dog came to him, pawing at his knee. "Sehunnie, look, he likes me! Wait, wait, take a picture!"
Sehun smiled and snapped a quick photo with Tao's phone.

As he lowered it Tao kept on pressing delicate kisses onto the puppy's head, smiling down at it warmly.
"I promise someone will adopt you, and they will love you forever and ever! They want you as badly as you do." He murmured softly, tickling the dog's ears. Sehun sat next to him, also petting the tiny creature. When the puppy scampered off to play with a ball, the maknaes intertwined their fingers again, both blushing slightly.
"I'm still mad at you for keeping this a secret from me," Tao grumbled adorably. "Meanie Sehunnie."
"I told you, I was going to show you this place for your birthday," Sehun grumbled back, dropping his head onto Tao's shoulder. "You were just in the right mood for me to show you this place, so I decided to bring you here."
Tao smiled and very quickly pecked Sehun's cheek, his cheeks bright red. Sehun glanced up, smiling at how embarrassed Tao looked.
"Th-Thanks Senshine." Tao blurted, embarrassed. Sehun pecked his cheek back, also blushing.
