"Lulu, I love you." Sehun whispered to the figure. "I love you to the point that most people would say I'm crazy."
Everyone in the hospital room watched with teary eyes as the maknae said his speech, kneeling beside the bed like he had done for six months. It was the awful day they had to let Luhan go. Not even the fans knew- they would break the news when they come back.
"A-And I just want to say, I'm sorry I was ever angry at you... I'm sorry for being annoying, or refusing you, or in general just not accepting you. Luhan," Sehun leaned forward, clutching his boyfriend's hand as he leaned his forehead against him. "I love you so much. I'm so sorry."
He kissed the cold lips gently and leaned back, hiding his face in the bed covers as he gently took Luhan's hand. He promised himself he wouldn't cry until he was out the room, away from everyone. He didn't hear the doctors final words. He didn't hear EXO's catch of breath. He didn't hear the sobs of Luhan's mother as the doctor pulled the plug.
Silence.
Everyone's breaths seemed to stop. Time seemed to stop. It was just Sehun next to Luhan, clutching his hand-
Wait.
Pulse.
Sehun's head snapped up, chest squeezing. He jumped up, startling everyone.
"T-Turn that machine on," he gasped, pointing shakily at the heart rate monitor. The doctor frowned but quickly turned it on, only for it to measure a heartbeat.
Luhan was alive!
"Lu-ge!" Sehun gasped, grasping his hyung's hand. "Oh my goodness, you're still here! You're breathing!"
Luhan's chest rose and fell in response. Everyone cheered, happy sobs echoing through the room. Luhan's parents hugged and kissed, Suho and Kris doing the same. The rest of EXO group hugged.
Sehun laughed breathlessly, kissing Luhan's hand lovingly.
"Oh, you're going to be OK," Sehun breathed. "Oh my goodness, you're going to live!"
