TIME flew rather quickly in Sendai. Yuna was now in her first year as a Junior High student in Tohoku High School.

The school's first term officially ended few days ago.

The summer before her second term in high school brought every cell of excitement in Kim Yuna's body. Her parents had promised that if she finished primary school with honors, they would let her celebrate her birthday in Korea. So Yuna strived hard to be on top and during the graduation rites, she received the highest honors for the graduating class.

She couldn't wait to see Ae Ra and Jae Shin again after a year. They had been constantly in contact through the internet but meeting her friends personally was her ultimate goal.

On the first week of June, her mother told her that they had to cancel the plan for Father had an important job to do. She sulked about it for the next couple of days. The bright shades of her childhood summer turned dark. She would be spending her first summer in Japan.

To make up with Yuna, her parents promised to let her spend her birthday in the amusement park located in the outskirts of the city. On her heart she didn't want any amusement parks, she wanted Seoul's serenity in the midst of its own defeaning loudness.

Nonetheless, no matter how much complaints she made inside her head, it wouldn't change the fact that she would not be able to come home to Korea this summer.

To add much to her dismay, her friend Yuzuru had gone hiking in Sapporo to visit his maternal grandparents. She heard that he wouldn't be back until her birthday which sucked because if she couldn't spend this day with Ae Ra and Jae Shin, she would be spending it with her first friend in Sendai.

In late June, Summer officially started in Japan as the weather forecast announced yesterday. Everything outside was radiant so she didn't understand why her parents brought her in an indoor theme park in the middle of this fine weather. She expected to visit the famous park down in Tokyo.

"But your Father can't go as far as Tokyo, my child." Her mother told them as they waited for her father who parkes the company car he used as service vehicle.

The indoor theme park was crowded with people- families strolling hand-in-hand and children of different ages playing around.

They stood by the entrance of the park and the area where they waited was a little dim. She came to the park with her parents, brother Min Seok and Kyoko.

Her mother specifically said that they had to wait in the lobby before coming inside. They spent good twenty minutes of waiting on that gloomy spot.

"Who are we waiting for anyway? Did your friends from Korea arrive?" Kyoko nudged and whispered.

Yuna shook her head. "Looks like it isn't."

"YUNAAAA!" A familiar voice called her name from the crowd.

She turned and saw a young boy running towards her. Yuna felt like he had brought the sun with his upon his arrival in this dark place.

It had only been two weeks but she could see how much the boy changed. She wasn't sure if it was because they were always together that she didn't notice ahead of time, but the boy had seriously grown an inch or higher than her. His skin was clear, his face was beaming with a bright and infectious smile. He looked attractive today than any of the ones they spent together for the past year.

He had his hair cut. Was it the hair then? He didn't look like a scarecrow now. He looked breathtaking which made Yuna felt stupid.

Breathtaking my foot. He's just him. Yuna tried to convince herself dismissing the thought that there was an appealing aura that surrounded the boy she used to know.
