To My Favorite Person,

I am writing this letter on the night of your birthday. You must be pleased. I chose you over reviewing for my major subject’s test tomorrow. By the way, I really liked the postcard you sent me last time. I don’t understand why we have to go sending each other things thru snail mail when you would always nag me in Line. Anyhow, I liked this old-fashioned communication. Let’s keep this tradition.

I hope I am not the last person to greet you... HAPPY BIRTHDAY, YUZU. You are stronger than you think you are. Let all the haters rot in their own hate. Do not give up on your dreams. I will always walk (behind) with you no matter how steep and rough and narrow the road may be. And I hate myself for saying this but I might as well just say this... I am very much fascinated about all that you were, all that you are and all that you will be. I wish you happiness for you deserve every bit of joy this world has to offer. Gosh. That was so corny.

Always,

Yuna

P.S. Enjoy Helsinki on this cold winter. Good luck on your games.

Dearest You,

I am so touched by your last letter. Except from the happy birthday written in English, the only thing I understood was the post script because it was (thankfully and thoughtfully) written in Japanese.

Unfortunately, I have no one to translate your Korean letter. I’m sure you won’t appreciate if I go around and ask someone else to read a letter you intended for my sight alone. Just so you know, I’ll be keeping your post with me until we meet again. I need you to read it in Japanese. Please.

Looking forward to see you,

Yuzuru

P.S. The snow is falling from where I am writing this letter. I hope you are keeping yourself warm in these cold times.
