THE Southern legend must be true. The person she had been waiting for came back to her dreams last night.

In her dream, he came bursting into the door as she passed out from all the alcohol her system took in. He was calling her name desperately; she felt too heavy to do or say anything and all that she wanted to do was to kiss him. The next day, she woke up with a terrible headache and with two messages from Yuzuru.

Yuna raised an eyebrow while reading what he had sent in their chatroom.

Mushroom🍄: I’m sorry if I made you feel this way. I promise to be a more responsible person. Btw, Javier accidentally answered your call and so he recorded it for me. Hope this wouldn’t make you feel uncomfortable. Thank you for understanding.

Her eyes kept looking back and forth at the words he sent her. However, all the missing pieces in the puzzle coordinated at once when she saw the message below. It was a video... of herself drunk, crying, swearing at him and eventually, saying that she’s missing the guy.

“HAHAHAHA!” Choi Aera clenched her stomach after watching the video for the 4th time. “I didn’t understand a word but you sure was hilarious, Yuna. Hahahaha!” She laughed even more.

Before they could attract more attention inside the cafe where the two friends met up, Yuna took the chance to grab her phone from Aera’s loose grip. “That’s enough! I can’t make you laugh anymore at my expense.”

Aera sat properly and wiped the tears around her eyes. “Whoa! And you say his friend recorded it for him? Hahaha. That makes it even funnier.”

Yuna tucked her phone back to her bag. “It’s so embarrassing. Gosh! Why did I even drunk call him?” She sighed, her hands on her temple this time. “I must have gone insane last night.”

“How much did you drink exactly?” Aera asked.

Yuna tried to recall last night’s affair, “It isn’t that much. I even made it to my bed safely.”

Her friend nodded in agreement for she had seen her worst. “So did you respond to his messages?”

Yuna fixed her gaze outside the window. “I’m too embarrassed to talk to him.”

“But you’re no stranger to shame my friend. It is your middle name.”

Yuna cursed at Aera that sent the latter giggling. “Seriously speaking though... Yuzuru had been really considerate of your feelings simply because he cares about you sincerely. I don’t think you have to be embarrassed.”

“Yeah. It’s just too shallow of me to succumb on my own pool of jealousy. We didn’t talk for almost a month so I guess, that was where I was coming from.”

“Anyways, I believe you’ll both work it out. Don’t worry too much.” Aera said before sipping from her cup. “So? How’s work going on?”

Yuna felt her heart grew heavy at the mention of her job. One of the two things that stressed her out a lot lately. “Atty. Choi mentioned about the job yesterday too.”

Aera knew about the permanent position being offered to Yuna, “And your thoughts about it?”

“The truth?”

“Do you even know how to lie?”

“Shut up, Choi.” Yuna glared at her. “The truth is... I don’t know.” The last three words sounded distant as they came off her lips.

“Sounds very much like you,” Aera commented sarcastically.

Yuna sighed for Aera was right with her sarcastic remark.
