IT was past noon time already. After eating lunch, they decided to kill sometime on a cafe to think of where to head next. Yuzuru ordered milk tea while Yuna had Americano.“Ahhh.” Yuna uttered as the first sip of the hot coffee touched her soul.
Yuzuru, who refused to tear his gaze away from her, giggled.
“What?” Yuna reaised an eyebrow at him.
He leaned his elbow on the table, taking a better look at Yuna.”I see that you’re enjoying your coffee too much.”
Yuna nodded as she stirred her cup. “Coffee stimulates the creative juices in my body.”
“It does?” He asked wide-eyed.
“Yeah. But it probably won’t work for you.”
His shoulders slumped.
“When everything goes crazy in the pub, drinking tons of coffee strangely gets me motivated to do things I’m supposed to finish.” She glanced up to find him lost in deep thought. “Oh, sorry Yuzu. You probably don’t understand what I am talking about.” She felt sorry looking at him who seemed clueless about what she was saying.
Yuzuru smiled and said, “No, I think I know what you are talking about.”
“You do?!”
He nodded. It was almost the same feeling when he thought of her at difficult times. “Yes,” he said shyly. Yuna thought that maybe, he was referring to the ice. Yuzuru’s coffe was the ice.
“Good for you then,” She muttered with a little taste over the ice rink.
Yuzuru went on flicking his mobile, “By the way Yuna, can I take a picture of you? I’m showing it to my friends in Toronto.”
“I always forget that you’re a social butterfly now.” Yuna said proudly. “Make sure you make me look good on that.” She showed off her sweet smile.
Yuzuru stupidly missed to focus on her face so the shot became blurry. “It’s a blurry one!” He announced. “Let me take another one.”
Yuna rolled her eyes at him and made a peace sign pose.
The picture came out really dark. “Oh, this angle is bad!”
Yuna snorted, “I’m sorry for having this face.” She added sarcastically.
“The problem is not your face. It’s the angle!” Yuzuru tried to defend.
“Give me your phone.” Yuna demanded. “Let’s take a twofie instead. Come here, Yuzu ah!”
Yuzuru leaned closer. Yuna tapped the front cam button of his phone and revealed that he was a bit distant so she suggested, “Hey come closer.”
Yuzuru moved his face closer to hers, putting his chin to her shoulder blade. Yuna flushed at the closeness of their faces.
“Take it now,” Yuzuru said.
“Smile!”
Yuna took the photo and it happened to be continuous shots so a series of candid photos were taken. She handed it back to him after.
“Your phone is weird. Do you take selfies that much? You’re so in love with yourself.”
Yuzuru took his phone back to scan the pictures. He beamed when he found the one where Yuna was staring at the camera with wide eyes and he was glancing sideways at her.
“Just a little.” He replied.
They were busy finishing their coffee when someone from behind them spoke, “Yuna?”
