CHAPTER FOUR
"Who's here for Jessica Anderson?" the doctor asks
I hurriedly stand up along with my mom, Jack, and Dusty. I'm holding Connor while Dusty's holding David.
"Right this way." the doctor directs
He takes us to a hospital room on the first floor. I put down Connor and Dusty does the same for David. As soon as Mom sees Jessica she runs and gives her a hug.
"Now, I understand that Jessica was doing a backflip off of the beam at gymnastics and landed wrong. She broke her ankle pretty badly. I also understand that she was training for the Olympics, which trials are in about 7 months. Jessica won't get her cast off for 7 months at the least because of how bad she broke her ankle, so she can't do gymnastics or the Olympic trials. I am terribly sorry." the doctor tells us
Jessica bursts our crying and I go to hug her. We had always dreamed on going to the Olympics together but now that wouldn't happen. I would have to go alone.
After an hour the doctor says we can go, so Mom checks out Jessica while I help her with her crutches. Yes Jessica has crutches.
Dusty says that I don't have to go back to practice, so I don't because Jessica has barely stopped crying yet.
