CHAPTER TWENTY-FOUR
The party's in two hours. It's causal cloths. I pick out a blue tank-top and jean shorts. Jessica's wearing a red tank-top and jean shorts.
Brooke's at Payton's house, David's at Brendan's house, Clayton's at Jacob's house, Jack's at Zach's house, Connor's at Mathew's house, and Paige and Chloe are at Aunt Denise's house.
I curl Jessica's hair and she curls mine, then we pick out some music and write a short speech. We put some pizza, punch, lemonade, plates, and cups on the counter along with a sharpie. By the time all that's done we have 15 minutes left. We double check everything then the doorbell rings.
"I'll get it!" I tell Jessica
I open the door and there's Mackenzie, Hunter, Megan, Kaylee, and Keely.
"Hey Kenz, Kay, Kee, Meg and Hunt!" I say
"Hey Sade!" they reply in unison
"Come on in."
"I'm really sad that you guys are leaving!" Kaylee says
"I know! I'm going to miss you guys!" I reply
Just then the doorbell rings again and I got to answer it. It's Tom, Skylar, Donavan, and Cade.
"Hey guys! Come on in." I say
"Hey Sadie!" they say as they come inside
Jessica comes in and sits down by Tom while I sit by Hunter. We talk for about ten minutes then the doorbell rings. Jessica goes to answer it.
"Hey Jessi!" I hear
"Hey girls!"
Then in walks Miranda, Maddie, and Quinn with Jessica. Hunter must of felt me get a little tense so he grabbed my hand and gave it a squeeze.
The doorbell rings again and I go to answer it.
"Hi Molly!" I say
"Sadie!" Molly replies hugging me
She comes in and says hi to everyone. Everyone says hi back and we all go down to the basement.
"Ok, so before we start having fun Sadie and I would like to say a few things. Sadie first." Jessica announces
Everyone quiets down.
"Ok well first of all, you all know you're here because Jessica and I are leaving for a few months. We found out earlier today we'll be gone for five months and will be training from 7am to 8:30pm Monday-Friday and 9am to 2:30pm Saturday and Sunday." I say
"Now Sadie and I will say a short speech." Jessica explains
I started, "I couldn't of made it here without you guys. Kaylee, Mackenzie, Keely, and Megan you guys supported me the entire time. Even when I had to decline sleepovers and times when we were supposed to hangout. Cade, we used to be best friends but gymnastics got in the way of that, you still supported me though. Molly, you understand gymnastics like me. You've supported me as well and helped me with the beam. Thank you for that. Lastly Hunter, these past few months you've been there for me more than anyone. I had to cancel a few dates and you just said ok. I'm sorry for all the inconveniences my gymnastics has caused everyone."
Then it was Jessica's turn.
"Same as Sadie, I'm sorry for all the inconveniences my gymnastics has caused everyone. Quinn, Maddie, and Miranda you girls supported me through the thick and thin with this. Tom, Skylar, and Donavan you guys probably could of cared less but you still supported me and Sadie. We thank you for that. Molly, you helped me out on the beam as well and I thank you for that. I'm going to miss all of you these next five months."
Then we were done. Everyone went about their own business. I went and cuddled with Hunter.
"I'm going to miss you the most." I said
He relied with a kiss. "True love waits."
I smiled
Hunter went to hangout with the boys while I went to hangout with my friends.
