CHAPTER FOURTEEN
Brooke's point of view
I got adopted along with Paige and Chloe. The family seems really nice. I have two little brothers, two big sisters, and two big brothers now. Sadie's amazing! She said she'll always be there for me!
I'm starting 5th grade today at a new school. David's going to help me as much as he can since he's in 4th grade. Chloe's starting year one preschool and Paige is going to daycare until next year.
I walked into the school building with David and Connor. They took me to the office and found out what teacher I have then Connor went to his class and David took me to my class, my teacher is Miss Shea. Jack and Sadie said she's really nice!
"Hello, Miss Shea. I'm David and this is my older sister Brooke." David said
"Hi David! Hi Brooke! David, aren't you an Anderson? I thought Jack was the closest older sibling you have?" Miss Shea asked him
"Brooke's my adopted sister. She's in your class." David replied
"Ahh, yes Brooke! I'm Miss Shea it's nice to meet you!" Miss Shea said to me
"Hello Miss Shea." I replied
"David, why don't you go on to class now. Brooke, if its ok I'm going to introduce you to a few kids."
"Yes Miss Shea" David said
"Ok" I replied shyly
"Nia, Kendall, and Asia! Come here please!"
Three girls came over to us
"Girls this is Brooke, Brooke this is Nia, Kendall, and Asia. Girls I hope you're nice to Brooke, you're going to show her around and help her ok?"
"Yes Miss Shea! Hi Brooke!" they said in unison
"Hi" I replied shyly
Miss Shea then left and I was alone with Nia, Kendall, and Asia. After about ten minutes Miss Shea came back and started class.
"Good morning class! As some of you may have already noticed we have a new student. Brooke want to come up here?"
I walked up to the front of the room.
"Boys and girls, this is Brooke Anderson. Would you like to tell the class a few things about yourself and maybe answer a few questions?"
"Sure, my name is Brooke Hyland, I mean Anderson. My favorite color is turquoise, I now have two big sisters, two big brothers, and two little brothers."
"Thank you Brooke. Now questions. Kendall?"
"Why did you say your name is Brooke Hyland, I mean Anderson?" Kendall asked
"I-I said that b-because I was adopted a few days ago and my last name before was Hyland." I replied
"Asia?"
"Do you have any actual siblings?"
"Yes. My brother Josh died and my sister Paige is at daycare right now. My cousin Chloe also got adopted into the Anderson family and she's at preschool."
"One last question, Nia?"
"I'm sorry about your brother, what are your adopted siblings names?"
"Thanks, and my younger siblings are David and Connor. My older siblings are Sadie, Jessica, Clayton, and Jack."
"Thank you Brooke."
*time skip after school*
"How was school Brooke?" Sadie asked
"Good"
"Any new friends?" Jessica asked
"Yeah. Nia, Kendall, and Asia."
"That's good" Clayton said
"Yeah."
"I got to go get ready for training, I'll see you in a few minutes." Sadie said
"Ok"
