CHAPTER THIRTY-ONE
Jessica's point of viewSadie and I say one last goodbye to our parents and siblings and have a hundred hugs then we're ready to leave. We make sure we have everything, say goodbye again, and then we leave for the airport. As soon as Dusty pulls out of our driveway I realize that for the next five months Sadie and I are on our own. Sadie grabs my hand and I squeeze it.
We get to the airport and on the plane. I'm sitting in between Sadie and Dusty. I take Sadie's hand and we fall asleep like that. I wake up a few hours later to Dusty shaking me and Sadie awake.
"We're in Texas!" he saysWe get up, check out, get our luggage, and get a rental car, then drive to the apartment.
The apartment is huge! Sadie and I got the bigger bedroom since there's two of us.
Dusty reminds us to text our family telling that we're here safe so we do.
