CHAPTER THIRTY
Mom didn't let anyone go to school or to work today and she won't tomorrow either. We went to the park and an ice cream place today, Jessica choice. Tomorrow's our last day in Missouri, I'm really sad. I got into a old t-shirt and shorts then went and climbed in bed.
I woke up in the middle of the night to Jessica and Brooke in my bed with me. Luckily my bed is big.
In the morning I saw that David, Jack, and Connor were on the top bunk, Jessica and Brooke were on either side of me,and Chloe, Paige, and Clayton were on a air mattress on the floor. I grabbed my phone and took a few pictures.
I fell back asleep then just to be woken up by my siblings. I pulled them all into a hug. "I love you guys so much!" I told them
"We love you too!" they said
I got out nine bowls and asked what kind of cereal my siblings wanted.
"Frosted Flakes" David and Connor said
"Honey Nut Cheerios." Clayton said
"Trix." Jack and Brooke said
"Frootloops." Chloe and Paige said
"Crisp Rice." Jessica said
So I poured two bowls of Frosted Flakes, one bowl of Honey Nut Cheerios, two bowls of Trix, two bowls of Frootloops, and two bowls of Crisp Rice, poured the milk, and then passed out the bowls.
Jessica and I then went up to our rooms to gather up things for our carry on bag. I grabbed my iPod, headphones, laptop, chargers, and some money.
Then I got on my phone and set up a group message

💙You took a picture of that? So you were awake!! Haha love you too!
💜Yes I was awake and had to take a picture
💚Ahh! You got us!! Lol love you too sis

💙We're quiet lively I must say! Lol
💚Yes we are! Lol
💛Why don't you girls and Jack come downstairs so we can have a real conversation?

{end of text messages}
"I have a question." I asked Jack, Clayton, and Jessica once we were all on the couch
"Yeah?" Clayton asked
"Why in the world were we texting each other when we were in rooms right next to each other?"
"I don't know." they all said in unison
"Probably because we're crazy." Jessica said
"Yeah, that's got to be it." Jack agreed
"Totally." I agreed
"Most defiantly." Clayton agreed
"I'm going to miss this moments." I stated
"Aren't we all?" Jessica said
"It feels like you're leaving forever." Jack said
"Yeah, the only difference is they're coming back in five months." Clayton said
"That's way to long though!" Jessica and I said in unison
"I think we've all become closer since we started those car rides to and from school everyday this year." jack said
"Yeah, we have." Clayton, Jessica, and I said in unison
Just then Mom came in ruining our moment. "Sadie what do you want to do today?"
"Go get ice cream and have a family game night?"
"That sounds like fun!"
So that's what we did. We went and got ice cream then we came home and everyone picked out a game. Then we played all the games. We went to be around 9:30 because everyone was getting up in the morning to say bye to Jessica and I. I woke up at 3am and saw that I was on the air mattress now in between Clayton, Jack, and Jessica, Paige, Chloe, and Brooke were in my bed, and Connor and David were on the top bunk.
I woke up Jessica so we could get ready. We got up took our carry on bags downstairs, got dressed in purple tank-tops and jean shorts, and went to wake everyone besides Chloe and Paige up.
I shook Clayton and Jack awake while Jessica woke up Brooke, David, and Connor. We all went downstairs and I asked what kind of cereal they wanted.
"Frosted Flakes." Connor, Jack, and David said
"Trix." Brooke told me
"Honey Nut Cheerios." Clayton said
"Crisp Rice." Jessica said
I got out seven bowls, poured three Frosted Flakes, one Trix, two Honey Nut Cheerios, and one Crisp Rice, then poured milk on them and passed them out.
"Jack, I'm handing my job over to you. Every morning before school you fix yours and Clayton's cereal and then on weekends you fix everybody's cereal ok?"
"Ok!"
"It's almost 3:30 we better wake up everyone else" Clayton said
"I'll get Dad, Sadie get Mom, Clayton get Paige, and Jack get Chloe" Jessica says
We all go wake up our person. Mom and Dad get up pretty quickly as do Paige and Chloe.
Once everyone's up, we go into the living room and watch tv one last time as a family for a while.
Then the doorbell rings. David goes to get it. In walks Dusty. Jessica and I say our last goodbyes and we tell everyone that we'll text them when we land in Texas and that we'll FaceTime them everyday.
Jessica and I finally leave after hundreds of hugs. We load all of our bags into the car, make sure we have our laptops, iPods, money, and phones then we leave for the airport. I grab Jessica's hand and she gives me a reassuring squeeze.
Once at the airport I realize that Jessica and I are on our own for the next five months.
